Not my favorite
I was looking for an alternative to a glass file because the sensory experience of using one is so unpleasant, but these are starting to peel at the edges and bend a bit at the ends after only two or three manicures. My nails aren't super strong to begin with but I don't feel like I'm getting a clean edge on my nails no matter what technique I use. I haven't really gotten any more use out of these than much cheaper emery boards that come in a large package, so I don't really know what niche these are supposed to fill for the price when they're going in the garbage soon anyway. I wish I'd invested in something more durable like a metal file.

For delicate fingers & rough toenails
The black side of this board works well on coarse toenails. It can smooth ridges in bed of fingernails too. The blue side is milder, but not without its effectiveness. Great for shaping fingernails and better than a flimsy emery board.

Would not recommend this nail file. The rough part comes off very quickly and then the coloring from blue/green side transfers onto your skin and nails. Overall extremely poor quality, I usually have nail files that last forever and this was wearing out after a few uses.

I love the “black” side of the files - but the BLUE side, UGH. The blue side falls apart on first use, and gets blue dust everywhere. I ordered these specifically because the name says these are black (so I assumed all black without the dreaded blue side). I was hoping to avoid this very thing. Overall a good file on the one side. Cheap enough that its ok.

Flakes and Wears Out Quickly
As others have noted, the teal side flakes easily and leaves teal dust under and around your nails. And it wears out very quickly, especially along the edges. I would not buy these again. The Japonesque brand is much better.
