About this item
Description
The desktop B004-DPUA2-K 2-Port DisplayPort KVM Switch lets you access, control, boot, and reboot two DisplayPort computers using one DisplayPort monitor, USB keyboard, and USB mouse. Switching between DisplayPort computers is quick and simple by using keyboard hotkeys or buttons on the unit. You can also plug microphones and speakers into the 3.5 mm mini-stereo jacks, and the two-port USB 3.0 SuperSpeed hub allows you to connect peripherals, such as a webcam, flash drive, printer, or scanner, and share them with both computers. Because the audio and USB 3.0 hub ports can be accessed independently, you can, for instance, use a printer connected to the hub to print data from one computer while also listening to music from the other computer.

Attempting to connect two desk top PC's. Unreliable switching:looses USB and display randomly during switches. Keyboard Hotkey commands are poorly documented and do not appear to work at all. Chat support is unavailable. this is a simple device that should power up and operate. my experience is frustrating. Will likely send this one to the landfill and purchase a replacement device from a better manufacture.

I am using this KVM Switch to toggle between a Work Laptop and my Personal Laptop. This allows me to seamlessly perform all personal tasks on my personal PC to avoid having "corporate spyware" on the Work Laptop record these tasks. I am using one large monitor (Dell), with a wireless Logitech keyboard & mouse. With this switch, I just touch #1 or #2 to go between the two laptops without any other movement required. Highly recommend for anyone who works a lot from a home office.

Keyboard is not discovered during boot up. Wireless touchpad will not work when switching to other pc and then back. USB thumb drives were not recognized at first but seem to be working now. Have removed wireless touchpad and now using wired mouse. Switch is usable after adjusting to it's quirks.
