The Tripp Lite® by Eaton® ECO-Surge 7-Outlet Surge Protector offers reliable green surge technology that protects your computer and peripherals, as well as the environment and your wallet. Its energy-saving outlet configuration reduces energy waste (phantom loads) that lets you cut AC power to unused peripherals. The ECO-Surge has 1 always-on outlet for those peripherals that need constant power like a fax machine, DVR, or router. It also offer convenient individual outlet switches that allow users to select which device is turned on and off. The power strip has 7 total outlets, a 6-ft. power cord, and diagnostic LEDs to warn of wiring problems and suppressor damage. Happy with another solid TrippLite product
Used this for extra power outlets in my home IT cabinet. I like that the outlets have individual power switches, and of course TrippLite is a reputable brand name. Works great!

One of the chosen few
This is one of the very few surge protectors with individually controlled outlets that actuallly offers insurance against failures that damage the electronics plugged into it. And so far, it's the only one I've found from a reliable and name brand manufacturer. So far it has worked quite well and it's nice to finally stop the trickle of electricity wasted on devices we rarely use.

I hate plugging my device plugs into an outlet to turn on a device. My older 50+ year devices had neon lights but they leak and die. I think the 'Always On' outlet should powered up AFTER the master switch. Why? Suppose you have a smoking device plugged into the Always On outlet. How are you going to shut it OFF? The master switch won't do it. You have to find the strip power plug and pull it out of the wall outlet. You can pull the Always On device plug but is that safe? Is it hot too? Is the Always On outlet surge protected? The master Green protected LED is OFF. The instructions do not clearly indicate if the Always On outlet is surge protected with the master switch turned OFF. Just a few concerns that don't make or break my buying this item. I bought another one. HTH.

I would buy this again,
Replaced a 30 year old individually controlled surge protector. Use it in office for multiple devices. Works good. Wish there was more space between outlets as some of the plugs go in sideways. You should make one with 5 or 6 outlets as the only other one is 3 outlets.

We now have four (4) of the units.
Use the ECO-Surge 7-Outlet Surge Protector as the source for charging station and power point on our kitchen counter. Allows us to switch on the outlet or outlets that are needed at the time.

Received as a gift for my workshop. Seems well made, solid, mounted nicely, working great. Loved the individual switches and indicator lights for 6 of the 7 outlets! Very familiar with this brand from many years of using their products.

It was easy to mount on the wall to keep the cords out of the way... But the biggest surprise was how easy it was to get a replacement after we experience a power issue in our house. After reading many many reviews on various surge protected powers strips I'm glad I finally discovered the Tripp-Lite brand. The build and quality feel of the componentry instills confidence right out of the box. Love the fact I can switch individual power lines on or off. I'm currently using my ECO-surge to hook up multiple UV/heat lamps for my son's pet lizard tank. These lamps draw a lot of current and need to be on or off at different times of the day. I used to hate physically unplugging the power chord but no more. This product is the perfect solution that came along at the perfect time for me. ps...my only criticism is the industrial design looks very outdated (I'm available to help with improving that Tripp-Lite folks if your listening :)

Great Product with individually switched outlets !!
I really like this Surge Protector with individually controlled outlets and it works great. I am a cyclist and train indoors. I use it to switch on individual fans for cooling while training indoors !! It really helps to regulate the air flow as my training session progresses. Great Product !!

Very Useful For Power Management
I like the 7switchable outlets to manage electrical use for occasionally needed devices, and still have 1 always on plug as well. I've used Tripp Lite products for years with favorable results.

Recommended for Aquarium Use
Works perfectly for aquarium setups. Makes maintenance a lot easier by not needing to unplug any items. In addition, the outlets are spaced out nicely, so that I am able to use WiFi outlets in conjunction with the strip.

I might buy this product again.
I purchased this product to use for my laptop, monitor, printer, phone charger, speaker charger and a postage scale. I like to be able to control the power to each device separately. I was surprise to see un-grounded plugs do not stay straight in the plug. They were twisting a little be because of the wider neutral plug. I have not seen that on any other surge protector.

Exactly what I wanted
I wanted a power strip with switches at each outlet so I don't have to keep unplugging things to save power (I don't like that a lot of electronics continually draw power when they're plugged in). There are surprisingly few of them on the market. I ended up buying this one and I'm satisfied with it. The switches feel very sturdy. The switches at each outlet are recessed, so if you have a big plug, they don't get in the way. I think this power strip was very well designed; I've been using it for a few weeks now and it's serving the purpose I needed it for perfectly.

Ideal for My Use
I use this switched surge protector for charging camera equipment. The individual switches allow me to leave all the chargers plugged in but not 'on' unless I am using a particular one.
