Bought this to make crack chicken the morning of to find out that these were so freezer burned and of course I’m needed to throw these chickens in the crockpot with no time to go back to Target. This was a pickup so I didn’t know till I got home to start cooking

These frozen chicken breasts are a freezer staple in our house. I like that they are thinner breasts so they thaw pretty quickly especially when you rinse the ice layer off first. I also like that they are frozen separately so they are easy to grab one or two out of the bag and they aren’t all stuck together. They come in a thicker ziplock bag that is easy to reseal and return to the freezer. I usually use this product for my crockpot meals where I can pop them in frozen. These are a go to for that style meal.

The chicken was utterly horrible and tasted disgusting like I was eating a fish stick. I did not get to enjoy my meal because of the smell and taste of the sandwich because of the horrid smell and taste of the chicken.

I was really hoping this would work out and could be an easy weeknight dinner solution but after baking it in the oven it had the worst flavor even with tons of seasoning on it. I am assuming it was either all the freezer burn on it or in a solution they use in it. The freezer burn was covering most of the chicken.

Unsure what happened to the quality, these have gone down severely over the past 2 years. These chicken breasts used to be a staple in my freezer, but the last bag I bought all the chicken looked like it was pounded flat with a hammer and ran through a wood chipper. They have that "woody" appearance, and do not look like normal chicken breasts any more.

Nasty freezer burn

This chicken was freezer burned and covered in white patches. I bought this brand name, more expensive chicken in the hopes that it would be better quality than the Target brand chicken, which was freezer burned last time I bought it. But this was as bad of quality if not worse than the Target brand chicken—it’s worse, in my opinion because this one cost more for less meat. Thankfully I was able to get a refund.

I’m super impressed with the size and quality of these chicken breasts. The picture is of one cut in thirds. I bought these as a family pack. There were no freezer burn issues. Minimal fat chunks to cut off. Definitely buying these again.

Decided to buy these Tyson frozen chicken breasts for the first time a few weeks ago. We have cooked two dinners using them so far. Both times the result was awful and the chicken was tough and not edible. We have thrown out what we have cooked and will probably throw out the rest of the bag, unless we can find a stray dog or cat somewhere.
