Umbra Trash Can, 13 gal Polypropylene Swing-Top, Black (Case of 3)

I tried to like it, but the design is incorrect. You can only fill it about 3/4 full and then the swing-top can't move because it hits the trash. To fill it all the way, you have to leave the swing top off. Very annoying for the price.

The lid does not swing it gets stuck on the sides and remains open all the time.

I bought these trash bins about 1.5 months ago to replace my stainless steel can that I had for 15+ years. I wanted a can with a lid to keep flies out and to keep my dog out of the trash. It was still in great condition but I saw a friends trash bin (the grand trash bin) and I loved it. I couldn’t find the grand in stock ANYWHERE in black which most likely speaks to the high quality of that design. While the one I bought as a second resort looks nice and sleek, that’s where it ends. The functionality of this design definitely leaves little room for trash and more room for frustration. Due to the long narrow design, the lid Is also long and narrow which greatly impacts the functionality. Now, I have to empty my trash cans when they are only half full which is annoying but also costly as I’m using twice as many trash bags just to be able to close the lid. The lids are constantly getting hung and stuck on trash even at just barely half full. My husband reminds me daily that he hates the new cans as well. Ugh. I’m really disappointed and really wish The grand would’ve been in stock in black as I don’t have the extra money to spend to replace these brand new trash cans.

I really needed a trash can for my office that was bigger than a bathroom can. This works perfect. I like the swing feature. Let’s me throw things away without lifting anything and the size isn’t too big but definitely not so small that would fill everyday. Great for an office!

I received the Swinger garbage can and love how tall it is and the large capacity. I am using it to store beverage containers that need to get recycled. The swing top works well and the grey color is very nice and fits in with my decor.

I utilized this durable compact trash can in my kitchen and it worked out perfectly. The color nickel complimented my kitchen nicely and the subtle curves and sleek design keeps my not so modern kitchen looking modern. Swinging lid and concealed garbage bags was a big plus for me!

This swinger trash can is the perfect size - and is so affordable! We definitely don’t have to change our garbage can as much with all the space, and I love the modern look! Also love that we don’t have to lift the lid, as the lid swings open and is so lightweight! It’s also nice and sleek so it’s not an eye sore! Perfect for our kitchen!

This trash can is a pretty matte black color and has a nice sleek look. Like that you don’t see the bag outside the can & love how you pull on the sides to take it off without touching where garbage was.

Loving the matte black of the trash can. I also appreciate the safety it was. I don’t have to worry about my kids pinching fingers on the lid because it is lightweight yet covers well. It’s been easy to use and looks so good too!

This trash can is plastic but has a nicer look to it with the nickel sheen. We are using it for our recycled goods bc it’s actually quite big. It’s very well made and functions great. The spinning top did arrive popped off which took some work to get back on. But I’m really pleased with it!!

It's the perfect size, and I love that it swings. I use it for my recycling. The swinging lid has to be recentered often, though.
