Valvoline CVT Full Synthetic Continuously Variable Transmission Fluid

Worked great and others seem to have good success with this fluid.

Changed the trans fluid in my daughter's car. And it works great.

After tons of YouTube and online research all seem to suggest a CVT fluid change(and even better if you can change the filter/pickup strainer) is likely to double the life of a CVT transmission and Valvoline's price is always on point especially when buying in bulk!

I have a 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid that has a CVT transmission. With draining the transmission, about three quarts came out. After adding three quarts, checking every little while (don't over fill). Drove it, rechecked it, still down a little for the hot mark. Added a little to the hot mark, now it doesn't slip.

I've been having my Valvoline/NAPA service dealer use this fluid in my 2016 Honda CR-V as part of the VPS CVT flush service. It's been drained and refilled with this fluid once before, but for the following service, I had them do the Valvoline Professional Series flush since it included a warranty. I highly recommend this product and the VPS services.

Have a NS-3 CVT tranny from Nissan. Picked up a gallon to replace the old fluid. Worked great for a couple thousand miles. Then notice a burning smell coming from my car. Ruled out any engine oil burning and came to conclusion its my transmission is over heating from the scan tools data. Decided to drain all of the Valvoline fluid from the pan. Replaced it Nissan's NS-3 fluid and so far the smell isnt as bad as before. Noticed that valvolines fluid is much more thicker than nissans. Could be why my tranny is overheating.

My 2018 Honda Civic 1.5L takes exactly 3-qts of CVT for a drain and fill. I do this with every oil change and this car still performs like new after 40K miles. I wouldn't use any other brand.

Changed fluid and screen filter on both Outlanders, 2013 & 2017. Works fine, no problems.

First drain and fill for my 2016 Nissan Rogue at 64,000 miles, I picked up 4 quarts from my local advanced auto parts and did the work myself, so far I can feel that the vehicle has a much smoother performance and I would highly recommend it.

At 36k miles on my beloved civic, I was starting to get a slight hint of cvt tranny whine with the original fluid. I switched to the valvoline and the whine (as slight as it was) is now completely gone again. So far, I'm a fan! If'n the CVT fails in the future, well...I'll come back and change my review obviously. LOL But so far so good.

2009 Nissan Altima transmission failed 24000 miles after replacing it with this.

I drive a 2011 Subaru Outback 2.5i CVT. My car has 256,000 miles on the original engine and CVT. I did my first drain and fill around 240,000 miles and a second drain and fill a short time after. I used the Valvoline due to the lower price and at first it seemed to do great. However, I began to notice that I felt more vibration and noise under power when the fluid became warm after driving it a bit. My engine also seemed to be working harder than normal to maintain highway speed as well. Then at around 254,000 miles, my car began to lurch when the torque converter would lock and unlock. I then bought the Subaru fluid and did a drain and fill to get the Valvoline stuff out. The tranny was instantly better. The vibration and noise is gone and the torque converter is acting normal again. For my Subaru, it will only get OEM CVT fluid from here on out. For engine and differential oil I think Valvoline is a great product and will keep using it but not for my CVT.

Love the price, fluid is nice and clear and works great in my new Honda. I will change every 30-40k.

I'm about to try it in a 2016 spark that required ac delco cvt fluid spec 19260800 that isn't specified by valvoline but still look the same. maybe the car is a too early production to have the spec by valvoline but as i use to, every cvt trans seems to use the same king of oil into it. we'll see
