Vanicream Conditioner for Sensitive Skin - Unscented - 12 fl oz

My dermatologist told me to switch to vanicream unscented shampoo and conditioner to help alleviate scalp irritation. Result was immediate. I am still dealing with medical issue but this shampoo and conditioner is definitely helping with less scalp irritation.

Love the shampoo and conditioner. Hopefully my local target will start carrying them in store.

This conditioner didn't irritate my scalp, but it wasn't very moisturizing and didn't have slip. It was hard to apply to my textured hair. I wouldn't repurchase.

I love the fact that this is fragrance free, it doesn't give me back and chest acne!

I have gone back to purchasing this wonderful conditioner again now that it comes in the pump dispenser, which works perfectly. Thank you so much Vanicream team, well done!!! For anyone who liked the conditioner but was frustrated with how hard it was to get it out of the squeeze bottle, I totally recommend, being so pleased at how easy it is to use in its new pump dispenser.

I didn't realize there was an earlier version of this product. When doing some investigating, I found a great website that lists 'core' allergens in hair products. It was several years old, however, so this current version is formulated without all but one of the core allergens it originally contained (CSA). What folks need to realize is that this kind of product will not give you the 'slip' or 'mermaid hair' that other products boast about. That's because the ingredients that give you that feeling are nasty allergens--for many of us. I never had the sensitivity that I do now (I'm 73) to styling products (and body washes). So many of these products gave me prickles and itching all over! It seems like many of us are experiencing the same thing. But back to the conditioner: you need to use more than you might be used to, and add a little water on your hair and squeeze it in. Make sure to leave it on for several minutes. You'll be able to run your fingers or a brush through it, just don't be too aggressive. You have to adjust your expectations with these products because they're formulated without all the JUNK other products contain. Give the shampoo a try, too. That 'dry' feeling is a reflection of what ISN'T in the shampoo. If you shampoo a second time, it requires very little product and foams nicely. My new dermatologist said that Vanicream is pretty much the Gold Standard for (true) hypoallergenic products. Good luck! (By the way, I have thick, curly, gray hair).

I tried this a few times. I used the dandruff shampoo once a week. The conditioner left my hair very dry and unmanageable. The dandruff shampoo is ok but I'm going to use a different conditioner.

Fragrance Free which is a relief because I had a concussion and have a super sense of smell now. Makes hair feel softer after doing both shampoo and conditioner. Doesn't leave my hair feel quite as clean. Feels a little thicker and greasier. I followed instructions and did the 2 lather. Bottle is easy to hold for my arthritis hands. Can squeeze amount out fairly simply. Small print on bottle. Would be nice if bigger. Appreciate white bottle with some bold text. Smaller bottle but okay. Arrived late.

The newer pump design is much better than the older squeeze bottle.

Usual hair conditioner leaves product build up and it weighs my hair down charging the texture to dry/straight/slight fuzzy. But with Vanicream conditioner my hair isn't heavy and after one wash my curly hair is back.

I can spread it over my hair effectively now and get it out of the bottle without banging it on the wall. Reformulation is so great on every level! I think it is more moisturizing and detangling ability is improved. Thank you Vanicream for hearing our experiences using you products and making them better.

Vanicream changed my hair for the better. These products don’t make my hair feel heavy and I have noticed more hair growth. Super affordable as well.

Great product! Truly works with no irritation

When I first started using this conditioner it was almost too thick to come out of the bottle. I have noticed in recent months that it now comes out of the bottle much easier. I am not sure if a change was made in the formula but I really love this now that it does not take brute strength to get it out of the bottle.

I LOVE that it’s fragrance free. It helps detangle my hair in the shower and it leaves it feels super soft!! Perfect.

Recently found I had a fragrance allergy which was hard to hear especially for my hair care products. Going from using leave ins and curl creams to just a shampoo and conditioner has been quite a change but I really like the conditioner so far. It's thick which is great for detangling my hair and I even use some as a leave in with a few drops of oil. Yes, it's thick, but just add a little water to the bottle to thin it out if you think it's too thick.

I just purchased the daily shampoo and conditioner from a local drugstore two days ago. I have to say I did not have very high expectations coming from using expensive hair care products. Unfortunately, years of constant contact or allergic dermatitis to god knows what led me to your product and I am so grateful! I have used so many shampoos and conditioners that were nit cheap, only to have a red inflamed neck and hairline in the back, and always felt so uncomfortable after washing with every shampoo under the sun. I came to the conclusion I was allergic to my own sweat and water as I couldn't make sense of what was bothering me. Two days ago I I had a reaction to hair bleach, which until two days ago were always uncomfortable to mow outright pain. I knew I had to change as all of my shampoos and conditioners, even high end that claimed to be fragrance free always left extreme irritation which isn't a good case for a bleach blonde. The past two washes have been so pleasant, as I already use non allergenic soap. To get out of the shower without the irritating prickliness to downright stinging pain almost left me in a state of euphoria! The shampoo was a little worrisome as my hair felt so dry. The conditioner was very thick but no slip do I had to use a lot to coat my hair and then comb through in the shower. But upon rinsing, my hair was so soft. I was amazed! I dried my hair and it was so shiny and looks better than any high end shampoo and conditioner ( I did apply done 100% organic Marika oil which probably helped and did nit bother me suprisingly). Thank you thank you Vanicream! If this keeps up you have a customer for life!
