WARNING: THIS MAKES YOUR HAIR FALL OUT LIKE CRAZY. I started using thie conditioner and shampoo and have been experiencing clumps of hair in the shower like never before. Only thing I changed in my regime because I thought it would be a good product.

Based on many years of experience and all available technical resources, we have no reason to believe that CeraVe Gentle Scalp Care Conditioner can cause hair loss. Hair loss can be caused by many things: illness, medication, lack of sufficient vitamins, diet, and stress. We also have an increasing loss of hair as we age. Male pattern hair loss and androgenic alopecia is considered to be hereditary. It is estimated the average head has between 90,000 and 140,000 hairs. Normally we lose 40-100 hairs a day. If you have a sudden and unusual amount of hair loss, we suggest you consult your physician because only a medical professional is qualified to diagnose and advise you.

Works best 4 meduim-thick hair
On my fine hair it did not work a little heavy I have curly 2c hair. BUT on my daughters (7yr old) wavy hair she has fine/medium density hair which makes me think this works a lot better on someone with medium to thick hair. It helped ALOT to detangle her hair. I was able to put a good amount and brush with my fingers and it made it a lot easier to brush after. I will continue to repurchase for her. I also notice her hair was less frizzy and looked very nice and shiny.

It’s perfect. I’m obsessed with it and wish I had had this when I was a teen and my hair was extremely unruly. It feels like every strand of hair is coated with magic. This is the smoothest and shiniest that my hair has ever been. Everyone needs this. This is truly hairCARE.

My new favorite conditioner
Well, it's finally happened. After 38 years on this planet, for most of which I have had hair, I've finally found my holy grail shampoo and conditioner. I have been using CeraVe products on my face and skin for many years, so I was fairly certain the shampoo and conditioner would work for me. The price is so affordable that it wasn't much of a risk if they didn't. I've been using them daily for close to a month now. I have fine, straight hair, and my hair feels soft and clean after every wash. But best of all, I've actually seen a significant decrease in the amount of hair that I shed in the shower. I also was dealing with some scalp dryness and irritation, and have felt like those are improving, too. I'll have to ask my hair stylist next week at my appointment if she notices a difference. I appreciate that there is no scent or fragrance in this product. I think that has been a big reason why I'm seeing less shedding and scalp irritation, and it's great to be able to wear my favorite perfume and not have it clash with or be overpowered by any lingering smell from my hair product.

Amazing for detangaling
Amazing! I love how mostorizer my hair is when i use this. My hair is naturally dry and my hair strands are fine and curly. The shampoo and conditioner make it easy to comb out my hair and it really hydrates and mostorizes my hair with out weighing it down. I also got a lot of compliments on my hair after switching over to these products

Finally a quality shampoo and conditioner without scent but with silicone for smooth hair! My hair is platinum blonde and I absolutely love both the shampoo and conditioner. It makes my hair feel like I've drenched it in nourishing facial moisturizer! Thank you for making something that finally works for scent sensitive individuals! There are so many of us and no options out there! Please make a deep conditioner or a leave in treatment!

I break out in full body hives to common preservatives that are also sensitizers (benzyl and methylisothiazolinone, BIT and MIT on bottles). Not fun!! These are common in many shampoos and most conditioners, and the worst, many laundry detergents (including 7th generation free and clear, which I learned the hard way!!) This is by far the best conditioner I've found that is free of these compounds. My one recommendation is it really needs a packaging change, it looks FAR too similar to the moisturizing cream tube. I have managed to pack the tube of hand cream instead of conditioner on more than one trip already, and gotten two days into trying to figure out what was wrong with the water that my hair was being so weird... (This hair conditioner is GREAT but their wonderful moisturizing cream is NOT a good hair conditioner, again, speaking from experience unfortunately!!). I wonder how many of the poor reviews are from other people who made this swap by accident!!

Made my hair super soft

Horrible. Brittle and sticky hair
This shampoo and conditioner hair was probably the most stripping set I have ever used. It made my hair somehow brittle and sticky at the same, and left an irritating coating on my scalp. My hair tangled like a i’ve never experienced before. I had to shampoo twice with a clarifying shampoo to get rid of it. Extremely disappointing, as I love and have used Cerave lotion for years now.

The smell caused migraines for me.
PROS: Make my hair silky smooth. Doesn't cause contact dermatitis nor blepharitis, which so many other products do for me. Doesn't cause hair breakage. CONS: HORRIBLE, strong, nauseating smell. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out what it was, since it claims to be "frangrance free." After doing some research, the smelly culprit is behentromonium methosulfate which is a cationic emulsifer. (Thanks, AI. I put the ingredients into AI, then asked which, if any ingredients could cause a smell that would trigger migraines, which this product did for me every time I used it. The AI came back with the behentromonium methosulfate. Then I did a search of FB and Reddit and, sure enough, others have noted a "disgusting cat breath smell" from not only the conditioner, but other CereVe products. And the smell does not dissipate with time; 8 hours after rinsing it thoroughly from my hair, my hair still REEKED.
