The smell caused migraines for me.
PROS: Make my hair silky smooth. Doesn't cause contact dermatitis nor blepharitis, which so many other products do for me. Doesn't cause hair breakage. CONS: HORRIBLE, strong, nauseating smell. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out what it was, since it claims to be "frangrance free." After doing some research, the smelly culprit is behentromonium methosulfate which is a cationic emulsifer. (Thanks, AI. I put the ingredients into AI, then asked which, if any ingredients could cause a smell that would trigger migraines, which this product did for me every time I used it. The AI came back with the behentromonium methosulfate. Then I did a search of FB and Reddit and, sure enough, others have noted a "disgusting cat breath smell" from not only the conditioner, but other CereVe products. And the smell does not dissipate with time; 8 hours after rinsing it thoroughly from my hair, my hair still REEKED.

Simple & Works Great
I really am enjoying this conditioner. It’s simple no-frills and it works good. Makes my hair feel soft and clean. The only thing that I can think of is thats negative is that it’s not very big and I have long hair so it’s not gonna last very long. If they could make it in a bigger container would be nice.

Disappointed
Not the worst conditioner I've ever tried, but not good either. My scalp feels nice and calm after using it, but does NOTHING positive for my hair. I've been using CeraVe face products for years, but they definitely need to put a lot more research and testing into their hair products.

Heavy Silicones in Product
I have eczema, allergies and sensitive skin and love CeraVe products for skincare. I was super stoked to see that they started a haircare line because I've struggled to find fragrance free products that actually work, don't trigger allergies/eczema and are affordable. Unfortunately after trying the shampoo and conditioner I was shocked to notice my hair feeling like a Barbie doll's- plastic, heavy and easily tangled. Discovered that both products have heavy, non-water-based silicones which are terrible for hair and scalp, causing buildup and sometimes scalp irritation over time, as well as locking moisture out of hair and making hair brittle. Guess it's back to my never-ending search. Why does CeraVe think I want silicones in my haircare products? I thought I could trust CeraVe and not read through the ingredients list but I guess that was naive.

Best conditioner I've tried
I have tried so many conditioners as we all do but this one is, hands down, the BEST. My hair not only feels soft in the shower after use but it stays that way when it’s dried. I love that about this product. Usually, a conditioner for me is either too heavy and makes my hair greasy or my hair still feels dry when I rinse it out. This is the best my hair has looked/felt with an affordable product. I really love the results and the price. This product feels like it should cost $100 but it doesn’t!! I don’t think I’ll ever use another brand/product. I hope CeraVe continues making hair products in the future. I feel like I can’t live without this conditioner now lol.

Not Great for Curly Hair
