Velvet Cushion Dog Bolster Bed - Boots & Barkley™ M

This bed seems well-made and is a beautiful shade of deep green polyester velvet. I have doubts about its advertised washability. The bed is comprised of three pieces: the removable polyfill cushion, the bolster piece, and the foam piece that's zipped into the bottom of the bolster (this is where most of the bottom support for your pet is). The care instructions on the label (see attached photo) state that only the removable cushion is machine washable and that the bottom and bolster are spot clean only, but, frankly, I'm dubious. It would be crazy to manufacture a pet bed that isn't more machine washable. Additionally, there is a zipper on the bottom of the bed. What is that for if not to remove the foam and be able to machine wash the bolster piece? Perhaps the entire thing is machine washable except that it would be a bad fit in a washer and might become misshapen that way? I believe the bolster is washable along with the cushion. I'm going to put the inside foam piece in a waterproof pillowcase in the event any dirt seeps down that far. I wish I was ready to wash the bed now so I could report back.
