What It Is: The first step in your cleansing routine, this cleansing balm melts away makeup (yes, even waterproof formulas) and washes away impurities without stripping skin. It preps skin for your second cleanse without leaving your skin feeling tight and dry.

Q: I purchased Versed Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm (19g) at my local Target on 8/7/2021 & don't see Polyethylene listed as an ingredient. Did the formula change and Polyethylene was removed, or are one of the other names listed as ingredients "Polyethylene"?

Q: Polyethylene is plastic and it's the fourth ingredient listed. Is this correct?

A: Day Dissolve does contain polyethylene as an ingredient. We formulate to the highest safety standards in the world, European Union standards, banning nearly 1,400 toxins and questionable ingredients. Polyethylene is currently recognized as safe. We're aware that there is some controversy around polyethylene and more research needs to be done in regards to the effect of this ingredient has or doesn't have on the environment. As we're constantly learning new things about ingredients our no list will evolve as the standards evolve, so thank you for your question and feedback on the matter! So gentle, and it works well! I saw it had good reviews and I loved the packaging so I bought it (: I have oily skin and cleansing balms usually irritate my skin but I decided to try it out when a friend recommended it to me. First time trying this and no this is not a paid review. I honestly want my money back but don't wanna go through the hassle. This smells like Vicks vapor rub. It's not good at all. It doesn't dissolve my makeup more like smears it all around. It doesn't rinse off easily either. I end up having to wash my face with my facial cleanser to get everything off so this just defeats the purpose. Can't get past the smell.

I’ve been using this for years now and love it. It removes all my makeup so easily and doesn’t strip my face to that paper dry feeling. I’ve never had an issue breaking out with this and it leaves my skin feeling smooth. I often times have a hard time finding it in stock at my local target.

I agree with other reviews that this product smells similar to vapor rub but it does the trick. Removes my waterproof mascara, doesn’t have an oily residue and makes my face feel clean. Slight burning when you’re rubbing off mascara but doesn’t linger after washing it off.

I was hesitant at first but so happy I gave it a try! I was so happy with the results and I had no problems with the product. The essential oils made me feel a sense of calmness and cleanliness once I wipe my face clear off the balm. I tried the small size first to be practical and to not feel as bad if I didn’t like it however, my small jar is gone and I am graduating/moving on up to the larger size.

Bought this for a trip. It smells like an old lady/Vicks and burned my eyes. Did remove my makeup ok, but the smell isn’t worth it. It’s also pricey for the amount you get. I prefer others over this for sure.

Feels and smells like rubbing Vicks Vaporub on your face. I didn't find that it burned my eyes, but I could see that as a concern for some people. It worked pretty well with waterproof makeup, but it leaves a greasy layer on your skin despite rinsing with warm water. I had to use soap to remove it. This might not be ideal for people who are prone to acne.
