Didn't remove my eye makeup
I bought this because of it’s clean ingredients and cruelty free. I’m not sure why this didn’t work for me at all. I followed instructions and it didn’t emulsify with water and definitely didn’t remove my makeup. There’s much better options out there.

I’m brand new to double cleansing and this was the first cleansing balm I’ve ever tried so I can’t tell you how it compares to other cleansing balms. What I can tell you is that it behaved exactly the way I hoped it would. It broke down waterproof mascara and heavily pigmented foundation in seconds. On nights when I was wearing extremely minimal makeup I really enjoyed taking the opportunity to give myself a detoxifying guasha/lymphatic/puffiness massage while rubbing this on my skin because it doesn’t ever get absorbed it stays slippery on the surface so it won’t tug at your skin even if you keep rubbing and massaging for ten minutes. I follow up with a hydrating cleanser, which has been a game changer. I’ve always hated gentle creamy cleansers because I felt like they never actually got my skin clean now that I’m double cleansing. These two products together are a match made in heaven and have transformed my skin health more than any topical product or routine ever has.

Smells great! I love the smell, it’s calming and nice. However this product is not for oil prone skin! It makes my face smooth, I don’t think it really takes makeup off, and it definitely makes my skin more oily.

DO NOT USE ON EYES!
I bought this balm to remove my eye makeup and all over the packaging it says to use it for removing makeup, no special instructions of what makeup. Been using for a month and its given me 3 styes from clogged oil glands and burns my eyes so badly that I can’t see and they turn bright red. I figured eucalyptus can’t be good for your eyes so I look all over the packing for anything that suggests not using it on your eyes and on the bottom in the smallest print ever it says to avoid contact with eyes and if contact occurs to flush them with water immediately. I’ve never heard of a makeup remover that you can’t use on your eyes.

I really wanted to love this product because I've used Versed products since the beginning but their cleansing balm has never been my favorite. It's greasy which is good for getting off makeup, sweat, and sunscreen but it feels like it never really comes off. It feels like there's always some leftover residue on my face, even after washing it off with water and following it up with a cleanser. Whenever I go back to it, I always end up breaking out which is unfortunate. I've heard it works well for others, though! So it could just be me.

Cleansing and calming
I absolutely love this cleansing balm. The ease with which it applies is matched by how easily it rinses off without feeling like a residue is left behind. My very sensitive skin always comes away feelinh so clean and calm, yet refreshed. I do have to be careful around the eyes as I find it irritates them a bit, but that's just me.

Poor Product and Customer Service
I purchased this product while away because I ran out of my regular cleansing balm. It did a poor job of removing eyeliner and mascara (not waterproof), I was left with raccoon eyes even after double cleansing. It was necessary to use micellar water to completely remove the eye makeup. After a few emails back and forth with Customer Service I was asked to explain exactly how I used the product. Since apparently they could not offer an explanation, nor could they stand behind their product the representative just told to return the Versed Cleansing Balm to place of purchase.

This definitely takes it all off and doesn't irritate my eyes or sensitive skin. But I have to use so much water rinsing it off to get to a point where my face doesn't feel oily that I don't think it is worth it. I wanted to like this option to avoid the waste of using wipes but I don't like the trade off of using so much water. Because I don't regularly wear makeup, I feel makeup remover wipes are a better option for me. People with dry skin might have different results.
