Description

What It Is: This face wash in balm form melts away makeup and impurities without stripping moisture from your skin (thank you, vitamin E). As you massage it into your skin with wet fingertips, the oil-based formula softens to create a light, gentle milk that rinses clean with no oily residue (the kind that may have turned you off from cleansing balms in the past). Its soothing, spa-like scent (thanks to the small addition of antibacterial, eye-safe eucalyptus) makes for the perfect start to your cleansing—even double cleansing—routine.

How To Use: Massage a dime-size amount into dry skin, wet fingertips and continue to massage, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Use on the entire face (it's eye-safe) in the PM and/or AM.

How To Recycle: Remove the cap, rinse out any residue, replace the cap, and toss in your curbside recycling bin.* Don’t forget to throw away the jar’s inner liner in the trash.

*Before you toss anything in your recycling bin, check if the local curbside recycling program for your zip code accepts plastic items that look like our packaging. If it doesn’t, recycle it through the Versed Recycle Responsibly Program by visiting versedskin.com/no-waste.

Q: I purchased Versed Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm (19g) at my local Target on 8/7/2021 & don't see Polyethylene listed as an ingredient. Did the formula change and Polyethylene was removed, or are one of the other names listed as ingredients "Polyethylene"?

submitted by - 1 year ago
  • A: Hi there, great question! We changed the formula :) Polyethylene is no longer an ingredient in Day Dissolve.

Q: Can this be used safely on the eyes??

submitted by KNB - 2 years ago
  • A: Yes. Day Dissolve can safely be used around the eyes. It's excellent for removing stubborn eye makeup!

Q: Polyethylene is plastic and it's the fourth ingredient listed. Is this correct?

submitted by JessicaRose - 2 years ago
  • A: Day Dissolve does contain polyethylene as an ingredient. We formulate to the highest safety standards in the world, European Union standards, banning nearly 1,400 toxins and questionable ingredients. Polyethylene is currently recognized as safe. We're aware that there is some controversy around polyethylene and more research needs to be done in regards to the effect of this ingredient has or doesn't have on the environment. As we're constantly learning new things about ingredients our no list will evolve as the standards evolve, so thank you for your question and feedback on the matter! We take it seriously and have already relayed it to our product development team.

I have used versed for 2 years now! First time trying this one out to just switch it up and have no regrets. I love this product just for the scent. I double cleanse and does not melt makeup off with just this as my cleanser, but it smells AMAZING!

Vick’s VapoRub for your face

1 out of 5 stars

What uninformed straight male chemist decided it was a good idea to mix eucalyptus oil into a cleansing balm that goes on your face? Cleansing balms are used to take off all kinds of makeup like EYEliner and EYEshadow. Though eucalyptus oil wafting through the air makes for a relaxing spa experience, rubbing what essentially becomes a slightly more delicate version of Vick’s VapoRub on your face is not the refreshing experience whoever created and signed off on this product thought it would be. It’s really sad because, otherwise, the consistency of this product is great. It’s hard to find an effective and pleasant to use cleansing balm and save for a the inexplicable decision of incorporating one of the more caustic essential oils, this could have been it. But unless you want your sensitive eyeballs to burn like they’re in hell, stay away from this product.

I feel like this product is hyped online..it doesn’t make a difference with taking off makeup. I still find residue when I go over with a cotton pad & toner. Plus, my skin is way too sensitive. It can’t handle the eucalyptus oil. If you have the same type of skin, try at your own risk :/

This stuff is the bomb, especially for sensitive skin!! This takes off all my makeup without burning my eyes or face. Most other methods or products I have used irritate my eyes and skin. This is the first thing that doesn't. It is really good for traveling because it packs well and doesn't leak.

I bought this to try out, I’ve used a lot of different oil and balm removers. I don’t think I would buy again. It burned my eyes almost every time I would use. I bought the small container, and being a cheap girl I finished it bc I didn’t want to just throw it away lol. It was on the low end of decent. It didn’t take off my make up fully and always had to go in with a second wash. I wear minimal makeup and have normal to oily skin. Also it left a weird oily film on my face after using. With moist oil based removers I’ve used, the “oil” dissolves after washing. The smell is very strong as well, but like another reviewer said it smells like medicine. When I read “Eucalyptus” I was not expecting it to be so strong and all in my eyes. Overall I would not recommend, there’s better options out there.

It was the second time I am purchasing a cleansing balm. It is not for heavy make up and the smell reminds medicine. I am actually very sensitive with smells otherwise it’s tolerable. I would prefer if it was offered with a non fragrance option. Otherwise it’s value for money the specific product .
