Via Vision - Lonesome Dove

Adapted from Larry McMurtry's novel, this miniseries carries the weight of a much larger story without losing it's intimate focus. Robert Duvall and Tommy Lee Jones anchor the narrative as former Texas Rangers embarking on a cattle drive that becomes increasingly reflective with distance. The western landscapes provide scale, but it is the characters' histories that give the story substance. At over six hours, the series unfolds with patience, rewarding attention rather than demanding it.
