Q: What is the difference between Organic Pasture raised Eggs vs Pasture raised eggs? What are the chickens fed in each case ?

submitted by RD - 2 months ago
  • A: All of our eggs are pasture-raised. Organic eggs come from girls that receive feed that meets USDA organic standards. The standard black lid carton eggs come from girls that receive conventional feed.

submitted byDShaul - 1 month ago

Q: Do these chickens have 100% outdoor living 100% of their life times or only outdoor access? (Since there two different things) Thanks in advance for answering my question.

submitted by Jj - 6 months ago
  • A: Vital Farms hens have outdoor access daily, sun up to sun down! Around sundown the hens are herded back indoors to sleep safely inside.

After watching an informative clip on the difference between this brand and others, I gave them a try. Best decision ever!! No stinky after smell that would make me gag, just a normal egg aroma. The quality is worth the price!

There is no comparison! All the commercially produced eggs SMELL when you cook them. But not these! I no longer have an issue when I cook with these eggs. I have tried a lot of brands out there and hands down there is absolutely no comparison. Yes they are expensive but you get what you pay for IMO.

Pasture raised; healthier for the chickens AND the conumer

I prefer this brand over any other one on the market. First and foremost, these eggs are pasture raised. Which make huge difference. Feel free to conduct your own research, but simply put; these chickens live humanely and have a huge space to roam on clean land. They aren’t crammed in a tiny coop, with only a small amount of “access”’ of “land”. This brand are my go-to eggs. You can definitely taste the difference. The quality of the yolk is so much better than the so called “cage free” or “free range” eggs.

This brand has always excelled in their quality of eggs for me. I never thought that egg brands would truly make that much of a difference but there’s something amazing about these eggs that’ll keep me coming back. They look great and taste great! Mix some in with some bunching onions and you’ve got perfection! It’s just a tad more pricey than other brands but the quality you get is worth it in my books.

rubber taste

I love brown eggs, they taste "less watery" but these are just thick, have a rubber after taste. I know that brown and white make no difference, but brown eggs have a different flavor. these eggs are good just the rubber after taste kills it. I googled metallic rubber taste. found this obli e "Because, believe it or not, you are tasting iron (from the yolk) and sulfur (from the white) which have combined to form ferrous sulfide. The older the egg, the more alkaline the white and the more likely this is to happen, but only if you cook them long enough at a high enough temperature"
