Great product, easy to blend.

It desolves beautifully if you put it in the cup and put the warm coffee or espresso over it and stir. It’s tasteless and I drink my coffee black.

I’ve been using Vital Proteins for a year now — I use it every single day and absolutely love it. I really appreciate the amount of protein, and just recently realized that my nails never break and are longer than they’ve ever been! That said, the new packaging is terrible. Even my husband couldn’t open it. I started with a pair of pliers, then finally had to stab a hole in it with a knife and saw it open. That’s not safe, and definitely not practical. I totally understand the goal of reducing environmental impact — and I respect that — but this new design is just not user-friendly. The “Pull here. Don’t twist. You got this.” — Yeah, no. I did not have it. I know I’m not the only one complaining, and based on the responses I’ve seen, it doesn’t feel like this feedback is being taken seriously. But this really does need to be rethought. There has to be a better balance between sustainability and usability.

There’s so many people complaining about how to open it once you do it once You should have no problem opening it. just a little patience people which everyone lacks today. Very easy to open!!

I read the reviews about the new packaging and was expecting some sort of nightmare. What is the big deal? The new packaging is awesome, super easy to open AND it shows that Vital Proteins is a company that is committed to building a better world for future generations! I REALLY APPRECIATE A COMPANY WITH VALUES!!!!! Thank you for your commitment to the environment! A healthy environment means healthier humans!

The packaging is the worse. I understand the need to cut back on plastic but a card board box is not ideal. It says pull here... pull what? Roll edge back and there is a tab but not really is tab just a piece of paper that rips off with no opening. Finally break in, only part of the top comes off part of it sticks to the box. Then there is another layer down in there to figure how to open. Obviously who ever thought a card boatd box would keep this fresh and dry has never lived where humidity is high. I'll put in a glass jar to keep it dry. Not everyone is able to pull a tiny tab, and battle this type of opening since many of us use this to help with joint issues. Strongly suggest it's back to the drawing table to figure this out.

Love the product, but due to the new difficult top, I will switch to another brand...the new packaging is terrible.

I haven't taken this long enough (yet) to list physical benefits. Simply providing an easy way to get additional protein is well worth it to me. I want to commend Vital Proteins for offering this product in mostly paperboard packaging. I hate to keep adding to the plastic burden of our world and avoid the big plastic tubs that are ubiquitous with protein powders. Well done, VP!

Great product, but the worse packaging. I am 62 years old and can not open the container. I need a pair of pliers to open it. That is so sad.

Thank you for moving to cardboard packaging - it's one of the main reasons I stick with this product over the competition. The more I can do to reduce the microplastic seeping into my body the better!

I love the product but hate, hate, hate the paper packaging! I am so glad that I saved my old plastic one to use. Go back to the plastic and you will have happy customers. The paper pull tab to open the package is a joke. I had to use a spoon handle to pry the top off.

I used Vital Proteins collagen proteins years ago and started again about a year ago and I absolutely love it. I am thrilled over the new paperboard tub!! Do not change it - the first time opening it felt awkward but after you get the hang of it - it’s fine. I use a serrated knife to score the lid first. I am reducing my plastic footprint and changing to brands who are in line. Bravo!

Recently returned to Vital Protein after trying others. Dislike the "new" cardboard container, hard to open with arthritic hands. I do not remember the dosage being 4 tbsp. I think the last I bought had a scoop & it was definitely not 4 tbsp. Will wait to see results.

Horrible new packaging, they switched to a cheaper packaging but still kept their prices up. And Sustainable future is their response? What sustainable future if you lose your customers? How many of these poor reviews and lost customers is it going to take to listen and go back to your old packaging? People are sick of it. Please start listening to these reviews and giving generic poor responses. Listen to your customers, especially the elderly who can’t even open the new packaging and give folks a new, better option. If you aren’t, drop the price if match the inferior quality. It’s a known fact it costs 68-72% more money to attract new customers than it does to maintain the ones you have.

This is my favorite collagen protein and I’ve tried many. It is my first time purchasing with the new packaging. Daunting at first but managed to open and reseal perfectly fine. The product itself seems a little different though in that it now leaves a powder film on top of my coffee but never has in the past. I can get by it but it’s just different.

I like the product, but disappointed in the new packaging. I kept the old container & transferred the product. Please don’t make difficult containers to open for seniors with arthritis.
