Given that Vivitar often produces budget-friendly or entry-level cameras, many of their simpler "point-and-shoot" models typically do NOT include a 3.5mm microphone jack. They usually rely solely on their built-in microphone, which often has limited audio quality. However, some of their "digital camcorder" style products, particularly those marketed as "vlogging cameras," DO sometimes include a 3.5mm microphone input. Should’ve listened to the reviews that said it was not a great camera. I ordered the camera thinking it could not be that bad since it was still $100 for the camera, but I was wrong and it will be returned. It is very slow to react. It feels light and cheap. Not a very user-friendly camera.

I wanted a camera for an event that would give decent photos without breaking the bank. I saw mixed reviews but wanted to give this a try because I felt like I was in an ideal setting for this to produce good photos. I went to multiple stores to track it down. The quality of the images, no matter the settings or lens combo I tried, just came out either blurry or grainy. There were a handful of “passable” photos, but I couldn’t find a consistent method to produce good results (I could take two photos back-to-back in the same spot without changing anything and get one awful photo & one decent one). It just ended up not being worth the gamble when trying to take photos of an event. I thought it was conceptually a good product. It does look relatively professional. The removable lens & carrying case were nice to receive with the camera. The WiFi feature for transferring photos was easy to use & convenient (although, finding the right app wasn’t easy because it wasn’t shown anywhere in the instructions). If you can get it on a discount & have time to play with it, maybe give it a try & see if it works for you. For me, reverting to my phone until I could get a better camera was the best option & I returned this.

Used the camera the first day and it worked fine. Tried to use it the second day and I got notifications when I tried to download the pictures that the card needed to be formatted (I did that when I first got the camera) and that it could not download any pictures. Had to buy an expensive app to try to get the pictures off of the micro sd card. There has to be a better camera out there.

Camera quality is pretty bad. The camera itself also is just really lightweight & feels cheaply made. I think $100 is a total rip off for the product. Think it would be great for maybe a young teenager or a kid who just kinda wants to mess around & take pictures but even then, $100 is crazy for it. Returned & bought a Kodak PIXPRO on amazon for $20 more dollars & it works way better & has much better photo clarity.

This *camera" is worthless. Your cellphone camera takes better pictures, and I'm talking about the old flip phone you had in 2008. The lenses are basically just filters. No matter how you adjust the settings, it will come out blurry.

Both online and on the box it says that an SD card is included, but the camera came with no SD card. That is part of what I paid for. Cute camera, though and actually turns on and the battery works unlike some other cameras i've had.

Pictures were blurry. To take the photo, you have to press the button halfway, then all the way. Also the on/off button is right behind the button to take the picture. So half the time we thought we were taking a picture but we were turning off the camera

Took a chance on this camera despite the poor reviews, and… ended up returning lol. The quality is overall pretty bad, the picture and the physical camera. After going through all of the settings and reading through the manual, photos were still coming out blurry, even with auto focus on. There is a weird lag every time you hit the button to take a photo. I think you should try for yourself though. Maybe it will work for you!

Look into other cameras, especially for video. The sound is awful on it, video lags, plus it takes forever to get it in focus. Wasted $100 on it. Even photos aren't that great but decent enough for random stuff. Just wasn't worth the $100, cheap in my opinion

I wanted a camera that’ll fit in my pocket, not a $1,000 iPhone. Why don’t they have a lens cover for the basic camera without the lens? I can’t put THAT in my pocket. The remote app, so you can take a pic from your iPhone is nice in theory. You can’t zoom in. Also, when view the pics on the camera, you also can’t zoom in. However, you CAN zoom in on the pics through the iPhone app.
