SURPRISED...the sound quality out of the box.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 45 years of television radio, and film under my belt and specializing in Audio I’m very picky about the gear that I buy… After taking about 30 days to snoop what’s out there to purchase I came to this sound bar because of the surprising other reviews made by Other Audio professionals. I give this sound bar subwoofer combination five stars because of the balanced sound you get from this set up… Other professionals have also rated it pretty high and that’s what Drew me to this… The M series is a better series by Vizio and this unit would be perfect for Somebody moving into a dorm room smaller apartment or your bedroom or like me a small living room… Vizio packed the features into the set up and what makes it even better is the fact that you get even fine-tuning adjustments giving to you concerning trouble base subwoofer and dialogue. I was looking to upgrade the sound bar I had for the past eight years and I am very satisfied with what I bought.

Sounds Great

Vizio sound bars don’t seem to last
First one lasted a few years at most, last one about a year if that. Both just stopped powering on.

POOR volume control

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own a Vizio TV, so I wanted to give the Vizio sound bar a try. I've had it about a month now and it's been pretty good so far. Has good base for the size and good sound quality. You only issue I've had is not occasion the the sound will become out of sync with the screen... The voices will be delayed from the screen. So I just have to turn the sound bar off for a few seconds and turn it back on, which resets it. I will leave additional/future feedback if I have any issues. Otherwise, I would recommend this sound bar if you have a Vizio TV.

Great sound system
We purchased the VIZIO-VIZIO M-Series 2.1 Home Theater Sound Bar with Dolby Atmos® and DTS, less than month ago, thus far it has been great. The volume is excellent, and the wireless sub woofer is amazing. We would recommend this system.

Big Bang little box
For just a sound bar a little woofer. It packs a punch. Only thing I wish it had was an equalizer. To fine tune it.

Great sound but annoying firmware
After 2 months of use I still enjoy this product but hate the annoying software and firmware issues. I also own the M51ax-J01 and believe it or not this performs as well if not better. Unlike the M51ax-J01 I get great and controlled bass from the subwoofer. Where this product falls short is with my Vizio V505-G9 as I have to reboot both the TV and sound bar frequently. Sometimes the volume on the soundbar is no longer in sync with the TV. Sometimes the TV doesn't disable the internal speakers when I turn on the soundbar. Content tha t is supported by Dolby Atmos instead plays as regular Dolby Digital. It just buggy and it's too bad because it is truly a great sounding product.

One of the best soundbars
Honestly, the only sound bar system that sounded better than this between all that I’ve demoed would by Sonos. This 2.1 system is responsive and full of detail. Definitely enhances the tv experience.

Nice Design..Great Sound...Great price for Atmos
So far I've been very pleased with this as the soundbar looks great and sound great. I do wish the bass had a bit more punch and that the bar had a little more volume. Setup however was a bit of an adventure pair this to my Vizio V505-G9. Took awhile to get it working as you have to set digital output to Bitstream on the TV. This took some effort and some soft and hard reboots (i.e unplug both soundbar and TV for a minute) to finally to get in to work. Still Atmos support is hit and miss on Smartcast. HBO Max works but Netflix and Disney Plus seem hit and miss. I have better success using a Roku Ultra. Also I wish there was a way on the soundbar to hit a button to show if its is Dolby Atmos or Dolby Digital. The soundbar will display either a green (Atmos) or white (DD) when it first connects to source material. This can be inconsistent to what was being displayed on my TV so not sure if future firmware will help to better address these issues. Overall a great price for Atmos.

Just bought this and am really impressed. Sound is fantastic, deep bass and all. This has replaced a sound bar I've had for years and far surpasses it. I love the bass and how much better my TV. sounds now.

Soundbar Remarks
When there is a power outage, I had to reboot the soundbar to get it to begin working again. The remote control instructions need to be more in detail.

The Sound System to Beat
