Q: Does anyone have an idea on how to clean them? Just received them and, while they are nice, they have an odor and seem like they need cleaned up a little. Would a light bleach mixture work?

A: Hello PR - This is natural water hyacinth material, meaning it comes from a plant. The care method is listed on the site (spot or wipe clean). Bleach should not be used and the item should not be submerged in water. If there is a smell, it is due to the natural material and being packaged in plastic. It will air out within a short amount of time. Hope this helps!

A: No lacquer. There is a ring around the outside that is either metal or plastic with the Hyacinth wrapped around it. Hard to tell.
