Weleda Skin Food Body Butter provides all-over hydration and nourishment that quenches skin for a luxuriously soft feel. This body butter offers rich hydration in a light, whipped formula that melts smoothly into skin with a non-greasy, quick-absorbing texture. Formulated with a botanical blend, including Shea and Cocoa Butters, Skin Food Body Butter nourishes skin to leave it feeling velvety-soft. Best for locking in moisture after a bath or shower. Skin Food Body Butter is dermatologist tested, vegan-friendly, free from synthetic fragrances, colors, preservatives, and raw materials derived from mineral oils, and never tested on animals.

Smell was too strong for me
I’m usually sensitive to really heavy unnatural scents. I thought this would be perfect since it’s described as “free from synthetic fragrances” and “fragrance from natural essential oils.” It moisturizes just fine - I like a thicker butter because I have dry skin. But I truly cannot stand the smell. It’s so overpowering and strong. I wasn’t expecting it. I wish they identified which specific essential oils were used because it’s hard for me to tell. The reaction my body has feels the same as it does from synthetic fragrances.

The scent is overpowering. At first seems fresh but it actually started to get stronger to the point I had to wash off. Very emollient, but anyone with allergies or sensitivities, do not buy.

Good product, just a bit overpriced and would like a non-scented option
I use this in conjunction with the weleda basic daily unscented lotion. I prefer a thicker unscented lotion and until Shea moisture changed their formula, that was the only one I used. I have found the combo of the two weleda lotions keep me feeling moisturized. It is a smidge more than I want to spend for the amount I get, but the cost for the two is the same as one smaller higher end highly scented not 'clean' lotion. I wish this thick lotion was offered in a non scented version though.

Best moisturizer ever.
This is the best moisturizer ever. Once I discovered it, I have never used anything else. I also buy the skin food for hands and it is amazing as well. I actually put it on my cuticles of my toes & hands. It keeps them from looking dried up. A tiny bit goes a very long way. It is not the same as a typical moisturizer. You use so much less. I live in Florida so moisturizer is essential.
