Sportopia Basketball Mini Hoop with Lights

Not a high quality hoop.

The functionality of this hoop is cool and it is fairly easy to put together but there is one major flaw. For an over the door hoop, you cannot close the door with the hoop on the door. The design is flawed. I tried on multiple different doors and none of them worked. So, while it is a cool hoop, the inability to close the door is a 1-star for me.

We only received one ball, orange ball was not included. We really wanted to love this. The lights are cool addition but the scoring is inconsistent. When the boys hit the backboard with the ball it would count as points. Boys are extremely disappointed that it doesn’t keep score correctly. Will be returning.

This basketball hoop is super fun and cute—my son absolutely loves it! The backboard lights up when you make a shot, which makes it extra exciting, especially in the dark. It’s sturdy and well-made; even when my son dunks on it, it stays in place. It also comes with a ball and an air pump, which is a nice bonus. The only downside is that the assembly instructions were quite confusing, and it took us a while to put everything together. The net was also twisted, and we had trouble installing it properly. Overall, it’s a great toy with just a few things that could be improved

The Sportopia Basketball Mini Hoop with lights is hours of fun for the kids. This mini basketball hoop was easy to assemble on the door securely. The basketball was also easy to inflate with included pump. The backboard lights up but the sound is weak. Great Product overall.

My kids love this once assembled. They play on it for hours and so far it’s been holding up perfectly! I did give this a 4 star rating because the light up part in the back doesn’t work, and the assembly was a bit on the tougher side for something super simple. Other than that I’d definitely recommend this product!

Gave this indoor basketball hoop to my son who's been asking for one in his room. The backboard is the perfect size to fit over a door and shoot hoops. Putting it together was straight forward and directions were easy to follow. We received one ball (blue). Only complaint is that the ball is thin and light so it bounces back high, plus harder to try to shoot into the net. Liked that it came with a hand pump.

If this were just a hoop and a ball it would be fine. The ball is appropriately sized and the kit comes with a pump. The hoop is decent and has a hinge so it has some flexibility when someone grabs it. The whole thing was fairly easy to put together. Where it fails is the sound and scoring. The sound is just awful and annoying, like something you would hear in a toy from 30 years ago. Thankfully, it can be turned off, but you still have to hear it on startup. The scoring is crazy inconsistent, sometimes a shot is worth 2 points, sometimes 3, with reasonable explanation as to why. Based on the capabilities it advertises, this did not meet expectations.

Don’t expect accuracy on the scoring. Outside of that it’s great. The options are off , lights only or lights and sound. The sound is super loud so I turned it off after a bit. The ball included was blue and it pumped up quickly with the included pump. We had a quick family game in the kitchen and it was pretty fun. As mentioned some points came as threes but I haven’t figured out when/why it gives a three.

This is super fun! Albeit a tiny bit difficult to assemble, once put together it feels sturdy and fits nicely on any door top. We love the lights and sounds plus score, the option to just have lights or have it totally off. Super cool and simple entertainment for my son and his friends!
