This light curtain is so fun! It is easy to put up and easy to operate. I got it for my son's room( he is 16) so he did all the assembly and got it to work. We used command hooks to attach to the wall and then hooked each light strand on a hook. You need to have them hanging somewhat near a USB outlet so you can plug in the control plug. There is a remote that comes with it that controls the lights, you need to point the remote at the plug to get the lights to work. The remote needs 2 AAA batteries, they are included in the package. Overall this is a really fun product and is a must for parties or just to liven up a room.

Our favorite is the stacking colors option. My son uses it as a backdrop for his gaming setup. It plugs into any usb port so all those extra cubes you’ve got hanging around will do just right. They have seven strands of lights and each strand contains 20 lights totaling 140 RGBIC LEDs. I liked that this product has built-in hangers on each strand making it simple and easy to hang up anywhere. The hangers are hard plastic and durable. The lights themselves are vibrant and add a great atmosphere to my room. They come with a remote control that takes 2 AAA batteries. The remote control can be used to turn the lights on and off and can be used to adjust the brightness or change the many different light modes. These lights can be set to music or sounds and will react when set to that mode. Overall, I find these lights a nice addition to any room. They add a fun way to decorate a boring space.

I really like the idea and sentiment behind these lights because they’re long and bright and look great, but the remote is a pain because it has to point directly at the usb plug that ties into the wall, so if yours is hidden behind something, it’s really hard to control. Also, you cannot hang theee up without buying additional hooks or clamps or anything. They don’t come with stickers or whatever to hang them, so we have a disappointed kid because we have to go back to the store for strips to hang them up. Battteries aren’t included for the remote either.

I'll start by saying the positive things about this unit. It has good color, there are a host of options to play with, and it comes with batteries. That's where the good ends. The unit is cheap so you shouldn't expect much, but so are smart lights these days, and those give you many more convenient options. Primarily, you can control your lights without need a line of sight to operate the remote. That's where this thing fails hard. Unless you have outlets high on your walls or on the ceiling, it's hard to get the remote to hit the adapter when it's plugged into the wall. If your house is like mine, I have all sorts of furniture and such blocking most of my outlets where I might actually want to put this thing. Unless you want to just turn it on and leave it, you're likely to have a difficult time hitting the receiver with the remote. It's actually hard to understand the use case here, because smart things are abundant and not that much more expensive. I guess since it's offline it's one less thing to worry about becoming part of a bot net or something, but it's just a pain to set up and a pain to use. There may be some specific cases where this would work nicely, but I would look at other options as they're much more practical. If it was a Bluetooth remote, that might have saved it, but even then, smart lights are the way to go.
