This is the worst mystery box I’ve done hands down. There was so much in the box, we were hopeful that it would take a while and be a fun challenge. However the prompts tell you who to eliminate and you can pretty much guess how. I didn’t like how they are leading you to solve the puzzle in a certain way. That’s the fun of investigating, thinking in different ways. At least we bought it on sale. It says 1.5 to 2 hours but we solved it in 30 minutes very easily.
fun for everyone!

This was disapointing. it is hybrid so you have some physical materials and others are digital. The links do not work, statinbg things like "this video will ve available later". In other words it did not work. We took it for a girls overnight trip and wound up not being able to use it. It was a waste of money.
Well made game

Just played this with my boyfriend! It’s our first murder mystery game and it’s definitely fun to read the clue together find the evidence together. It’s perfect amount hardness level. Not hard, not too easy. ( I guess if they put all the clue out it’s too easy lol)

Fun game with my teenager, as long as you are interested in using your brain and reading a lot of clues. You could play this alone but it is probably best with 2-3 people. We had a big iPad to be able to watch the videos together- using a phone is too small or everyone needs a headphone (and then it’s not really a group thing). I docked a star because I think there is a mistake in day 2. The link to the three videos are nowhere to be found in the clues. We only knew they existed when trying to answer the question about evidence. We finally found them through a Google search. They really need to fix this as it kind of ruins the game as one of the videos is essential. Very fun and you can give the game to someone else to play (and tell them about the missing videos in advance- the website is starmysworld dot com!).
Great game! Make moreb

This was such a fun time. Me and my husband have played a lot of different brands who make these games and this was our favorite. I hope they make more! Love how organized the evidence is makes it easier to gift to someone when you’re done playing.
A MUST PLAY

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice and fun mystery game on solving who killed Mia. You can either play by yourself or end up playing with up to 4 people. I played it by myself since I haven’t had time to play it with anyone else. Either way it was fun, interactive and quite fast paced. You get these folders with information you’re suppose to use and clues that will lead your to your answer. You also get to watch a small video before you start the game so you can get a little bit of background. Overall, fun game and would recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this game is definitely interesting and has a lot of details to it by having evidence in envelops inside. It took me a minute to figure out who it was so I was stumped. The QR codes worked and led me to the game online. My issue is at one point they tell you to watch some movies that I never could find so I had to just guess. It wasn't clearly marked where I could find them. The other problem is now that I played it I can't really play again, I might be able to facilitate others playing it though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is A LOT of reading involved. I don’t know about you but if I’m trying to have fun with friends or my husband a lot of reading is going to kill the mood. There’s a lot of things to look at in each “day folder”. Dont like how it forces you to choose the correct information in order to move on. I think it should let you go the course and let you know if you’re tight or wrong at the end.
Fun. Superb. Mystery.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of the few board games I've played where one can use tech (a phone) as part of the experience. It was a blast! It can be played single-player, and I soloed it for the first run. Amazing experience, and an engrossing mystery. 5/5. Definitely recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a newbie when it comes to murder mystery games but Who Killed Mia is a great introduction to the genre. Using the smartphone for digital clues and videos was a fun and unique form of gameplay. I was impressed with the quality of the videos and the photo evidence - very graphic and definitely not for younger players. The puzzles were often quite challenging. While this game can be played solo it's much more fun with a group. Definitely recommended for game night!
