Unlike traditional helmets, the Wipeout Dry Erase Kids’ Bike, Skate, and Scooter Helmet encourages kids to assert their individuality by creating and customizing their own inspired designs on the surface of the dry erase helmet. Each helmet includes five non-toxic dry erase markers in assorted neon colors, as well as a stencil kit with eight awesome shapes so kids can make an art project of their helmet. When it’s time to come home, the helmet can be erased and a new design created for the next day of play. The Wipeout Dry Erase Kids’ Bike, Skate, and Scooter Helmet features an ABS hard-shell for safety and durability. Complies with U.S. CPSC Safety Standards for Bicycle Helmets for Persons age 5 and older and ASTM safety standards for biking, skateboarding, and trick roller skating. Q: What are the helmet's dimensions? It is hard assess because the size says medium with a 6/12 hat size. My daughter is 10 so I need to know if the medium is for that age range. Thank you!

A: My daughter's head measures 21" and the helmet is loose on her head. There's no apparent way to easily adjust the fit. No additional padding came with the helmet. Quick measurement of the internal circumference, along the padding, is ~21.25".

Q: Is this the 5+ or 8+ size? I see that it says the hat size, but usually bike helmets show an age range or head size in cm.

The helmet is high quality and the decoration idea is fantastic. However, it has no strap for the back of the neck like most helmets, so it just tips back on the head exposing the forehead. It's not too large or loose, but if you gently push, it easily tips back so I don't think it would be safe in an accident.
