Chesapeake Bay Retriever

What kind of dog did I just adopt?
I just adopted a small long-haired female. She has long legs so I think she's part Italian Greyhound. But she has the head of a terrior. I would like to know what breeds she is. I have used wisdom before and found them to be very helpful.

Great hereditary info to have for your dog - especially for rescues where you might not have complete information about the parents. We learned specific hereditary traits and possible issues and limeage 3 generations back. Great info!!!

I feel like I understand my rescue dog better!
I adopted a two-year old rescue dog recently and after examining her DNA results including her breed mix, and several of her behavioral traits results I feel like I understand my dog so much better. The results shed some interesting light on several characteristics we have observed in her. For instance, it was interesting to discover that she has a high genetic tendency for generalized fear and anxiety (which she does!) and that maybe her hesitant behavior isn't necessarily due to terrible unknown things that happened in her past. The results also demonstrated that Kiara has a sister named Gypsy. So fun! I am so happy we used Wisdom Premium as there is a vast amount of helpful data included in our results. This was worth every penny!

Not sure the results make sense!
I might have had some cross contamination with the swab as the results are too similar to my other dog. Mine may have picked up something from the other and I’m afraid the results don’t make sense, making this test a waste of money for me. I’m sorry.

Fun to know!
We adopted a "bordoodle", lol. She looked the part, black and white, swooping tail that wagged all the time, didn't shed much. She was actually only 2% border collie but yes, 37% poodle. The rest was English Sheepdog and Australian Cattle Dog with a terrier thrown in by 1%. Well worth the cost with the of the health information included. Thanks!

It makes sense now!
The Wisdom told us all we needed to know about Hector's history, genetic makeup, traits, and personality. Because he had been a stray puppy before the rescue agency took him in, his background was completely unknown. Now a lot of his behaviors (friskiness, tenacity, guarding/barking, friendliness) can be attributed to his Boston terrier and Yorkshire terrier DNA. We are so relieved to have the medical info that Wisdom Panel provided as well (genetically no troublesome traits!). We highly recommend utilizing this tool to understand your dogs!
