Not really compressing, but they’re comfortable and they keep my legs warm while transitioning to spring weather. I’m a size 8 shoe and the sock heel is up on my ankle so they do run slightly large.

Too difficult
I’m sorry I bought these socks. From the first try, threads on the inside caught on my toes. Disregarding that, they are very difficult to get on & off my skinny feet & legs which should be easier than average size. Not worth the extra effort.

The bad reviews are so weird to me. these socks seem like great quality to me and I'm pretty picky. It's cold right now so I have decided to wear these socks for the last few days and they make my legs feel great and they are holding up perfectly. They washed very well, although I will say that I hang up any of my nicer socks to dry. I think it must just depend on your leg size. I at first thought they might be a little short but then I just worked them up a little higher and they come to The bottom of my knee and they stay up well and they definitely have compression but they are not toooo tight. I'm going to buy even more of these. I'm a pant size 8/10 but my calves aren't skinny.

Two left feet
I bought these in store in a hurry and didn’t realize these were socks that are fit for right and left feet. That’s not normally a big deal, but it’s good to know. However, one pair I received had two left feet. I bought these for surgery recovery to wear on my right foot. So technically I’d only have one to use vs 2. The only difference I know from designated right/left-sided socks vs “universal” is that the toe box is shaped to fit a right and left foot. These didn’t really have that as far as I could tell, so it’s fine. But if you’re picky, be sure to check the package. A bigger thing for me is that these have seams on the inside from the design, which I never thought I’d ever think about in my life, but if those seams are on top of any healing incision (scabs mainly) on your foot that is constantly swelling, it can cause problems in that scab staying intact. I took these socks off, and there are lines on my foot across where those seams are. They’re great socks otherwise, but if you need them for what I needed them for (foot surgery recovery/swelling management), I’d suggest finding others that don’t have seams the on the inside.

I love that these are a bit thicker than other brands so it is helpful when flying in the winter. They also aren’t super tight to the point where they might cut off circulation. These are the second pair I buy so I will definitely be returning for more in the future.

Not made for average sized calves
While these socks feel like they are great quality they are not made for the average sized woman with an average sized calf. In the US the average sized calf is 14.8 to 15.4 inches, my calf measures at 15.2" and there was no possible way to get these on. if your calf is under 14.5" these would be a great pair of compression socks
