Women's Eyelet Maxi A-Line Dress - A New Day™

The dress is gorgeous. The material is wonderful, cotton fully embroidered. The dress falls perfectly on the body. My only complaint is the cleavage is overly generous and somewhat low. I was able to make a minor adjustment to the neck area and wear the dress but without the adjustment it wouldn’t have worked for me. I am a true M 36C so not exactly sure why the cleavage is so loose. I loved the dress so much I kept it and made it work. A little adjustment did the trick.

This dress is so flattering on someone who is curvy. The weight of the fabric hides all lumps and bumps in the mid section. You do not need to wear a bra with this dress because of the fabric and cut of the dress. I'm not very tall so the hem hits around my ankles. The elastic back makes the dress extremely comfortable to wear. There are pockets for small items you want to keep on your body. It does run large. I usually wear a size large so I purchased a large and found myself swimming in it. I sized down to a medium and it fit perfectly. I am 5’4”, 36c, 29 inch waist and 155 lbs. I wish this came in more colors. It’s a great dress and I highly recommend it.

Love this dress! It’s very flattering and not see-through at all. I’m 5’9, 140, and the small was a bit big. I’ll have to sew the halter a little tighter but I have a small chest.

I’d give this 5 stars if it weren’t for how the pockets show through the dress/fabric. I’m 5’1”, 36c, 135 lbs, athletic build, & the Small fits me perfectly .

Great dress! Bought both colors and the fabric has a great weight and very nice eyelet. I found it ran big. I bought medium and just ordered the small instead. For reference I am 5’7” and 37” bust. The medium was loose and the elastic back was not pulled at all so the entire dress looked a little sloppy.. Hoping the small fits better and I’ll review it also.

It’s so flattering and makes me feel so feminine. The fabric is not as heavy as other people describe it to be but would agree with sizing down i am normally a L but if I had more time i would have returned and purchased a M instead.

Fits well. Machine washable. Great for all occasions.

Double layer fabric. So very sturdy. My only issue is the strap around the me k is not as secure as it should be.

Beautiful dress. If you know a halter neckline is good for you, don’t be put off by it having a smock back and no real bodice seaming. The eyelet fabric has a lot of shape and body on its own, and it is lined in a similar weight fabric in the bodice and skirt. That makes it hang beautifully while obscuring the lack of construction in the halter. I am sneaky and sized up to a L (and also, on a return deeply discounted), and then did some very basic alterations by hand to improve the fit. For the record, I only can do basic stitches that look horrific up close, and by hand, so it wasn’t anything complicated and it took me 20 minutes, including bringing the seams in at the back, reinforcing the smocking to decrease the spread, and moving the button hole on the neck. I am a low C, generous B with a broad back. I think if you are a person with a C+ chest, the size grading and the smocking allowance would give a fitted look and a supportive feel to the bodice, even though it is not darted that way. Even with having a small alterations task in front of me, this dress was so easy to work with. The double layer made it easy to hide my messy interior stitches. Even the neck is double lined. I used an existing finished eyelet hole in the top layer as the starting point for my new button hole. Because of the double layering a body of the two layers together and the alterations that tightened the smocking in the back, I felt very comfortable as a barely C sized person while forgoing a bra - something I do not say particularly often regarding most dresses. Tl;dr It is a very classy dress in shape and feel if you are comfortable showing skin and either have a figure that fills the top out or are ok with doing a little clothes hacking. This skirt with the weight of the fabric and the volume gives even a very straight figure a graceful hip and waist. It is a lot of fun to wear, but a little hot with the double layers - so better for some climates and environments over others.

Amazing fit and quality for the price. Got it in black and even though I definitely didn't need another black dress, I can't believe how flattering this is. If you've got a little belly, hips, and booty - look no further. Hides and slims everything. I'm smaller on top and can rock this without a bra. I'm usually a 10/12 and sz L is perfect.

I tried this eyelet maxi dress on not expecting much, but immediately fell in love! It’s flirty, flattering, has a slight A line flare that perfectly hides any pooch, and is perfect for summer! The materials little thicker than expected, but it makes it feel more high end. This is definitely one of my fav Target dresses and I just saw that it comes in black as well so I’ll be on the hunt for that one. I’m 5’6”, between a size 6-8 in bottoms and a 34A chest. Purchased the small and it runs slightly big, but the adjustable halter back allows me to tighten it enough to keep it from gapping too much at the chest. The hem falls just above my ankles so even shorter girls shouldn’t have a problem with it dragging. The white is lined, but still see a little through with the black underwear I had on. Should be fine with a nude color.

Ordered in black. Material is very heavy and stiff. Not a light cotton dress you would expect. Returned.

I knew this dress would be flattering, but WHOA! This is my new FAVORITE summer dress! For reference I’m a size 14/16, 5’8”, ~200lbs. This XL dress is a little loose and I did have to add a button to make the halter neck fit a little better. I bought the white and the black. I can’t wait to wear them this summer!
