The Apex, by Muck Boot, is a high-performance waterproof lace-up hiker built on an innovative platform for high endurance outdoor pursuits requiring a more athletic and agile boot. A waterproof exterior coupled with breathable mesh linings to provide elite protection and moisture management. The 4-inch upper features a 4mm CR Flex-Foam neoprene liner that is 100-percent waterproof. A dual-density comfort footbed with memory foam delivers on long-lasting cushioning. An EVA midsole supplies cushion; a lugged rubber outsole supplies traction.

My go-to hiking boot

The Apex Lace Up Boot that I purchased two years ago is hands down my favorite, go-to hiking boot for wet and snowy weather. My feet stay comfortable and dry. Definitely recommend!

Lace length critique

The only critique I could give is I think the laces are to me about 5" too long. Completely waterproof as advertised I have been stomping in a mostly empty 500gal stock tank with ice breaking it up toes stay warm and dry.

Great boot

Water proof has been tested already and spring hasn't officially hit yet. I keep them laced one below the highest knotch and they are quick to pull on with the thumb tab in the back when I need to run to the barn and don't have time to sit and lace up boots but keep my feet warmer and dryer than just tennis shoes and without having to be my tall insulated middle of winter boots.

Great waterproof and insulated boots

These are very roomy and comfortable. True to size but don’t cramp the foot. They are rather heavy but is good for muddy areas. No problems with being waterproof. Would buy again

Good for the price

Fit larger than expected, but with two pairs of socks they should be fine. Tight around the ankles and will need broken in to be comfortable. Completely waterproof and warm for cold water wading.

I bought these for small farm chores and hiking the fields and trails. Waterproof. Easy to clean or rinse. Great all around support. Stylish. Need heavy socks as they run a little big overall.

Comfortable and supportive!

I bought these after reading the reviews which indicated some purchasers were having discomfort at the ankle. I have worn them indoors for 1-2 hours without difficulty and then started wearing them outdoors for 1-2 hour walks with my dog. We were on sidewalks and in wooded areas. I walked in long grasses on rough ground. I have had no issues and find them to be comfortable and supportive. I will now be wearing them for full days outside when the weather is colder and wetter. I am very pleased with them.

Boots for Mongolia

Thanks for a great pair of boots! I bought them specifically for a trip to Mongolia, expecting lots of snowy weather, but ended up hitting a window of mild weather. So I donated them to one of the local workers at the non-profit I work for, who will get great usage of them during the long Mongolian winters!

POORLY MADE BOOT

DO NOT PURCHASE. The boot was made with not enough padding and you will rub your ankle raw. There is NO padding and the stitching goes straight into your foot. I thought MUCK company stood by their quality but they do not. It is unfortunate and MUCK has lost two more customers as a result of this.

Rough Inside Stitching

Extremely waterproof, but some stitching on the inside is to rough and nonflexible, causing hot spots every time I wear them.

Waterproof!

Most of the reviews said that these were uncomfortable around the ankle. They were great out if the box and as I wore them in, they became uncomfortable but now they are awesome. Waterproof, easy to put on and take off, great traction.
