A: Yes, it works on a variety of materials, including surfaces found in sneakers. The adhesive on the back of the insert is permanent. Please make sure to apply pressure to ensure product has a strong hold. Thank you!

Q: Do you have to use the adhesive backing in the shoe? Would it slip out if you don't apply the adhesive? Hoping my foot could hold it in place so not to ruin the back of the shoe.

A: Hi there, thank you for asking! Unfortunately if you do not use the adhesive we cannot guarantee that the cushion would stay in place. Most likely, it would slip out of the shoe without being adhered during use.

Yah these are trash. Way too thin to make a difference and adhesive backing is a joke. Bought a expensive pair of Burberry sneakers that were rubbing the skin of my heels off, purchased these, and made zero difference. Immediately returned. Don’t waste your time.

Purchased a while back and has been sitting in my closed. I purchased a pair of jelly sandals (Vince Camuto Felicya to be exact) and the strap on the left shoe was hurting so I trimmed these a bit, placed them and instant relief. I am ordering more for my other jelly sandals. Btw it's perfect for jelly sandals because it sticks on so well.

Like many reviewers, I found that you definitely need a more permanent solution to stick these to your shoe. If you use only the adhesive backing, you can count on it unsticking itself within a few minutes of walking around. I personally used a rolled up piece of duct tape which worked perfectly to stick the pad to my shoe. You could not see the tape at all and the heel pad stayed out, keeping my shoe from popping off my foot. I tried the heel pads in a different pair of shoes and found the same stickiness problem. Just know if you get these, they do work as long as you stick them on with something else.
