How to measure

  • Bust

    Measure across the fullest part of your bust, keeping tape measure level.

  • Torso

    Run tape measure from the top of your shoulder,between your legs & up again back to where you started.

  • Waist

    Bend slightly to one side. The crease is where your natural waistline is. Measure a comfortably loose, level line around that point.

  • Hip

    Stand with your feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of your hips & Seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit well. Now measure along the seam from the crotch to the leg opening.

Side pockets on shirts are terrible - please stop doing this

This would have been such a cute shirt, if it were not for the side pockets. Because of the extra bulk/fabric to make the pockets, not to mention the opening which gapes, the shirt doesn't hang straight at the sides like it should - it has a bulge right at the hips that is incredibly unflattering. I considered sewing it closed and removing the pockets, but decided that isn't worth the work (although I've done this with other shirts with ill-conceived side pockets, and it does help). Unless you plan to walk around with your hands in your pockets all the time, this shirt will hang oddly and never be flattering.

fall fail

Not at all oversized

I usually wear a S or occasionally a M in shirts, depending on the brand. I ordered this in an XL and it's still not oversized. The sleeves are just barely long enough and I'm only 5'7". If you own any of the oversized linen shirts from AE, the XL in this is smaller than their size S, if that helps you any. I do love the colorway, but really disappointed in the fit.

Not a tunic! Very thin

This flannel did not fit at all like expected. I am 5’11 and the length was very standard, the sleeves were in the short side, and the whole shirt just fit very regular like a button up, not loose and not long enough to cover my butt at all, it hit at the waist. The fabric is on the thin side as well. I was not pleased with how this fit and returned it. I found it to be boxy and unflattering on my curves.
