A: I've tried to open the back so I could change the battery. Doesn't seem to come off. Wish I knew that before I boiught it! maybe others have had luck doing it??

submitted byShelly - 6 years agoTarget staff supportA: Sometimes watches have a little plastic piece holding the winder from activating until the user is ready to start using the watch, or there is a plastic tab that you have to pull out. This is so the battery doesn't run out before the buyer starts using the watch. If that isn't the issue, I don't know what to tell you.

Q: For a very cheap watch, this one lasted me almost two years before the faux leather came apart. I'm not above keeping this one going with another slim band that I found. Is this band removable? (Does it have the little metal rods with springs?)

Simple, Attractive, Affordable Ladies Watch
I love this watch. I first bought one 2-3 years ago at a Target store and it still works. I couldn't find a replacement watchband though so I bought another one online as it was not longer available at my local Target store and so glad I did. It's simple to read, attractive, easy to put on and take off. You can't beat the price either. Highly recommend it though be aware that the watchband will eventually wear out and it's difficult if not impossible to replace. That's ok because a new watchband would cost about $20. Better just to buy a new watch. I hope Target does not discontinue selling this watch.

"Get what you pay for" is true.
I bought this watch (in black) for a retail job, and was not at all careful with it. The band lasted about 8 months of near-daily wear before breaking, and the watch itself lasted another 2 before stopping. (I have small wrists, and the shortest buckle slot worked for me.)
