Get the ankle high boot
not like the original! My first 2 pairs were so easy to step into; these have a tight cuff (I assume for better waterproofing) which prevents using as a slip-on. I ended up removing the cuff and still rarely wear them. Really like the ankle high mucks I kept!

I have actually purchased two pairs of these Mucksters, one as shown, and, later, a second pair in brown. They are incredibly useful for gardening, keeping my feet clean and dry. The sole insert comes out to help the shoes dry out if they do get wet (for example when you inadvertently leave them out in the rain). I use a shoehorn to put them on. Initially I had to use bandaids on my achilles area because the top of the shoe pressed into my heel, but that has relaxed with wear. Some of the detritus I walk over (e.g. dogwood berries) tends to stick to the shoe treads, but that could happen with any gardening shoe. I normally wear size 6 and found the sizing to be true.

Slight style change reason for 4 not 5
Mucks are the best garden shoes or boots ever!!! Keep feet clean & dry…keep you balanced mo matter ground conditions with that great sole! Love the color of my new pair but the cut is a little different..much higher on the top towards my ankle so that they are a bit of a struggle to get on!! Once on the fit is perfect and the same all day comfort! Gave 4 stars instead of 5 due to slight changes in style but they really are my 5 star go to shoes !!

Disappointed
Shoe itself was comfortable, but the back edge rim cut into my foot and left bloody blisters. Even with thick socks it still hurt, so won't be wearing them and gave them to our local Goodwill.

Happy I purchased these but wish I'd know they are intended for cold/cooler weather use as the low-cut style suggests summertime wear! Too hot for warm weather use.

Bring back the old version
The new design includes narrow, close-fitting cuff. This makes it secure and more waterproof but impossible to slip on and off without some effort. After 3 days, I cut off the cuff and now able to step into the shoe. Don't buy this shoe if you have the old version.

Very happy with my purchase
So glad I purchased these shoes. They are comfortable and supportive. Not too heavy. They keep my feet dry and cool during the hot summer months. The traction has prevented me from slipping in the mud several times. I especially appreciate the high quality of craftsmanship in the making of these shoes.

Bummed
I wanted to love these…read great things about the muck boot company and was excited to get them. Put them on and wore them for 15 minutes in my chicken run and had sores on heels in that amount of time. The material curls in on your ankles and digs in. I wish I could return, get a refund, or a store credit so I could buy something I can actually wear…very bummed

Perfect all around
This is my second pair that I bought for a back up. The first pair has been through a ton of work and they are super comfortable, keep the feet dry and the best part is when doing garden work, etc. the tops of the shoes are snug to your foot so no dirt gets in and your feet stay clean! We have been building rock walls, gardens and animal enclosures this year. They are well worn and have been my favorite all around working shoe that I’ve ever owned and absolutely love them. I wear them all day and my feet don’t hurt.

Good garden shoes
I bought these for gardening, taking the dogs to potty in the morning when the grass is wet and mowing. I've owned several pairs of Muck Boots in the past when I lived on the farm. The muckster lows are perfect for smaller plots of land.They're comfy and keep my feet dry.
