A: Hi Momof2boyz, We are delighted you have found our Wood Frame Chalkboard Calendar! This board comes with hardware designed to mount on a wall with the use of nails. It would likely too heavy to attach magnets to, and mount on a fridge. we reocmmend trying one our smaller magnet backed dry erase weekly format boards which fit easily and are lightweight for use on fridges.

Q: Is this board porous or nonporous? I currently have it and am looking into buying colored chalk markers, but have heard they do not work well on porous blackboards

A: Hi Nikkk, Thank you for your interest in our Board! The Chalk Board is non-porous as the chalk paint is over a steel layer. We do recommend testing a small spot with chalk markers as stainign can vary from brand to brand. happy planning!

Q: How is this supposed to be cleaned? Soap and water? Or is it meant to be erased with a dry cloth like a regular chalkboard?

A: Thank you for your interest in our board! We recommend whiping the board off in the same fashion as a regular chalkboard. If you decide to use a paint chalk type marker, then we would recommend a damp towel.

Great little calendar. Doesn’t smudge as easily as a dry erase. Water can completely remove the chalk writing. Yes, sometimes the October will start on a later day of the week, so you will have to be creative for a 30th and 31st. Otherwise this is a nice dark color and it’s made well.

Its a great calendar! I bought it for college and it definitely helps keep me organized! I’ve only been using it since august and haven’t had this problem till now, there aren’t enough days for certain months! October starts on a Saturday and there aren’t enough days on the calendar for october 30th and 31st!!

I have had this calendar for about 2 months now, so I have had to erase it and fill it in twice now. I think it is very very cute and the chalk pencils that come with it are super nice, however I have a lot of trouble erasing the pencil. I don’t know if maybe I am just doing it wrong but it takes a lot of elbow grease. However I would still recommend this calendar and I am glad I bought it.

I've had this chalk board since May, it's now almost august, and it's held up well. the pencils that come with it are terrible quality and barely show up. i bought my own eraser since I didn't come with one and also regular chalk, which works much better. hangs up well and love the versatility in this piece.

I’ve had this calendar for years and I still use it to this day! Marked off one star because the wood does chip off but I just filled it with some black sharpie and it doesn’t bother me. Highly recommend ditching the chalk pencils it comes with and buy a pack of fine tip liquid chalk pens. They last way longer and are way more vibrant. I soak the writing in alcohol and use cotton pads to wipe it off every month. I have a way more detailed calendar for work and school but I use this to remember birthdays, special events, or trips and just general looking for what day or date it is so the chalk pens work the best as they’re more “permanent”.

Nice size and adequate room for writing and illustrations in each day box. The surface is smooth and erases entirely without leaving faint marks from previous writing. I will say the corners of the wooden frame could be reinforced because the stain rubbed off but that’s an easy fix.
