I’m relived this was in the sale. It’s kinda cheap and flimsy and the nails stick out instead of being in-set! Also the grey coating (On top of the MDF) has a funky smell for quite a while.
It does look good, and functions well as a unit!
Even though the first one I received was damaged, I’m giving it 5 stars because the replacement was perfect. It did take a while to assemble, but it fits my space perfectly and provides the functionality I need.
The boards didn’t line up and the screws didn’t go all the way in. I would think it would cost less for the way it set up. It’s much shorter then it looked but since it was for my sons room not bad. Didn’t return it because I didn’t want to disassemble it and take it to the store.
I love the look of this shelf. I wasn't sure about the ladder style but I am really liking the look of it in my space. It was pretty easy to put together. One drawback is that the screws holding the top shelf to the sides/legs are bending out the wood. Perhaps I didn't screw them in straight. It doesn't affect the stability, so it should be fine. Just bummed that it's already on it's way out.
I really loved the shelf once it was put together. It was kind of a pain to put together with only one person - so I would highly recommend having two people for the job. I only took off one star because this really should come with some kind of wall anchor attachment to prevent it from tipping.
