The little thing is pretty tough as he has slammed it against the ground just a few times and it still works like the day we received it.

Then making it take off its even more difficult because of the first issue I mentioned, you can appreciate that in my video. I think that kids ages 10-12 might be able to get the most of it, but I find it hard to think they’d be into Sonic at that age.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the longest time I tried making it fly. Turns out you need to point the controller directly at the receiver which is on Sonic’s back. It flies up, very high but that’s it - I couldn’t steer it. Also, you can’t simply lower it to the ground, it crashes down. So after about 10 minutes of play time, it stopped flying.

It’s small and portable, which makes it easy to take anywhere, but it is a bit delicate, so it needs to be handled with care. You can't just throw it in a bag. I was pleasantly surprised by how long the battery lasted — unlike many similar toys that die after 30 minutes, this one kept going for hours without needing a recharge. It kept my kids busy and entertained for a long time, and while there is a small learning curve, a little help in the beginning (especially with fixing the trim) goes a long way. One of my favorite features is how quiet it is — something this Mom really appreciates!

First, when you try to stand the sonic helicopter up to fly it it will not stand because of the weight not being distributed evenly from the front and the back. The back of the product is heavier and makes the helicopter fall over. Then when we were able to get the product to fly the controller was difficult to maneuver and when the copter landed on the ground it's left foot was cracked. Sad to say this product would be a no for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sonic flying figure helicopter looks cute and may be favored by a Sonic fan, but overall, this toy is not exactly fun. 👎🏽😑 It's not aerodynamic at all and tends not to respond well to the controller. I thought it was nice that it had a charger for the figure, but the control requires several batteries itself and makes me wonder why not have both rechargeable or both battery operated. Also, the Sonic figure can not stand independently. It needs support from a wall or other source. It flies high into the air, but it is hard to control the orientation, so make sure you are in a field or at minimum have plenty of space to get it once it crashes to the floor. I would not buy this product as is.

As a parent of three Sonic fans, I was really excited about this helicopter—it looks great out of the box and has fun display appeal. Unfortunately, that’s where the excitement ends. It requires 6 batteries (none included), which was already a hurdle, but the real issue is that it’s basically unflyable. You can’t control the direction, and it’s way too difficult for kids to actually use. It ends up just crashing repeatedly or flying off unpredictably. Honestly, it works better as a decoration than a toy. Disappointing for something with so much potential!

Unfortunately, it is not a durable toy. It broke immediately after the first take-off when it ran into our fence as we were just learning the controls. The instructions did not do a very good job of explaining how to pair the controller with the drone either. Overall, this product was a frustrating experience.

I had to prop it up in order to get it to stand long enough to get in the air. Definitely need a big room to fly this in. There is no indication of the battery running low. When the battery died the entire helicopter just fell to the floor. It was very hard to get it to not spin while up in the air. Tried to fly it outside and the sun messed with the signal from the remote to the helicopter.

It actually has quite the propeller and it’s a lot of fun to mess with. We just don’t have the space and I feel like you need more space than what we have in our yard.The likelihood of it ending up on our roof or in the Neighbor’s yard is pretty high. I’m not sure I would buy a toilet like this for my own kids, but I would certainly get it as a gift for one of my nephews. It’s definitely not something you wanna do inside your home though, you could definitely damage your TV or knock something off the wall. You want space and you want to be outdoors with this toy. Once charged, the battery lasts about a half an hour or so. Maybe about 45 minutes? The remote is a little tricky to control though. All in all a fun toy!

We’ve enjoyed racing it around the yard. It has withstood a few minor crashes without any damage. The flight time is decent and recharging is quick.

Easy to charge, but I wish it was usb c instead of a proprietary charger. The rotos spin pretty fast and don't have guards, so it's definitely not for younger kids. The controller is pretty responsive for elevation but not great at moving left and right.
