[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this from Influenster to test and honestly, it was pretty disappointing.. the design is cute and looked fun at first but performance and quality just wasn’t there. The controls are really hard to manage , it either shoots straight up or crashes instantly , with almost no in between. The battery life is extremely short and the charging time feels super long compared to how little playtime you get from it. It’s also a lot more fragile than I expected; a couple of soft crashes and it already showed signs of wear. The quality just isn’t what you’d expect it to be at all.

Small but mighty
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very hard to fly. My son was very excited maybe we didn’t do it right but it was a little hard to get it going. Very powerful tho I was surprised. The battery life lasted. For safety definitely use it outside.

Great toy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our kids, (even us adults) had an absolute BLAST with this! It took us a minute to figure out how to get it to stay flying, but discovered you have to walk with it as it goes! This thing has smashed the ground sooooo many times and still has not broke! I hated that it took 6 batteries for the controller, but the sonic is just a plug in charge! Comes with the charger also! It’s so quiet, and this thing goes SO high, it’s insane.

Pass on this one
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not a fan. I was excited to receive this for my kids to play with. Got allll the batteries in it (6 AA) and we got about 30 minutes with it. It hit the ground and was done. It was nice and quiet, but once that 30 minutes was over we couldn’t get it back in the air. Pretty disappointed.

Difficult controlling

Fun outside toy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My boys absolutely loved this toy. Sonic is one of their favorite characters. Now this is not an inside toy I would say. It flys pretty high and at time can be a little hard to control. But once you get the hang of it it’s pretty neat. It lasted a while and was able to get several plays out of it before the batteries died. It fell a few times and didn’t break so I would say it’s pretty sturdy.

Cool Idea
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a pretty cool idea for a toy and I really wanted to like it but it was a miss for my kids and family. First, the battery life is not that long (just a few minutes) and it takes a quite a long time to fully charge. By the time that my kids got the hang of it, it ran out of battery. It’s also very unstable when flying, not ideal for outdoor use and definitely not for indoors where it easily flies into obstacles if not steered perfectly - which for kids, is a little challenging. Maybe this may be better suited for older kids.

A lot of fun with this Sonic helicopter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Sonic Jetpack flying figure is pretty fun! It looks really cool, and the jetpack detail makes it stand out. Flying it is not too hard, but it takes a little practice at first. It flies well indoors, just make sure the room is clear so it doesn’t crash. It charges directly from the remote, which is convenient, but the battery only lasts about 5–7 minutes per flight. Still, it’s fun to keep launching it again and again. One downside is that it’s lightweight, so any drafts can mess up the flight. Also, higher ceilings are better to avoid hitting furniture or lights. Overall, it’s a fun gadget, especially for Sonic fans. More for entertainment than serious play.

Spins out of control, remote did nothing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As soon as this takes off it uncontrollably spins in circles causing the remote to lose connection to the toy. No matter what settings I adjusted, I could not get it to stop spinning. Within 5 minutes Sonic had already lost one of his feet when this came crashing down without the ability to control it.

Cheaply made & not easy to control
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately this was not very durable, one of the joy sticks broke the 2nd day we had it. The instructions tell you to have it start by standing the figure up, but it doesn’t stand up on its own. Once it was actually up in the air, it was difficult to maneuver and would just crash to the ground. Would not recommend.

Quality flying toy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids loved this. They were able to fly it with ease. They picked it up and easily figured out how to make it work. It flys better than I anticipated. They have banged it into everything and it has held up well. It has barely been charged and has a long battery life. I just wish it was easier to stand up on its own.

Hard to make it work.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a cute toy, with a lot of potential. However, I found out the toy’s weight is not well balanced, hard to keep it standing. Then making it take off its even more difficult because of the first issue I mentioned, you can appreciate that in my video. I think that kids ages 10-12 might be able to get the most of it, but I find it hard to think they’d be into Sonic at that age.

It worked, until it didn’t
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the longest time I tried making it fly. Turns out you need to point the controller directly at the receiver which is on Sonic’s back. It flies up, very high but that’s it - I couldn’t steer it. Also, you can’t simply lower it to the ground, it crashes down. So after about 10 minutes of play time, it stopped flying.

Great Battery Life and Hours of Fun
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids had a blast playing with this helicopter! It’s small and portable, which makes it easy to take anywhere, but it is a bit delicate, so it needs to be handled with care. You can't just throw it in a bag. I was pleasantly surprised by how long the battery lasted — unlike many similar toys that die after 30 minutes, this one kept going for hours without needing a recharge. It kept my kids busy and entertained for a long time, and while there is a small learning curve, a little help in the beginning (especially with fixing the trim) goes a long way. One of my favorite features is how quiet it is — something this Mom really appreciates!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was so excited to get selected to test this out with my son but, the product sadly had some flaws. First, when you try to stand the sonic helicopter up to fly it it will not stand because of the weight not being distributed evenly from the front and the back. The back of the product is heavier and makes the helicopter fall over. Then when we were able to get the product to fly the controller was difficult to maneuver and when the copter landed on the ground it's left foot was cracked. Sad to say this product would be a no for me.
