The Worx Nitro WG186 40V Power Share Cordless Attachment-Capable Driveshare 15” String Trimmer was designed to give any lawn or property professional-looking landscaping results. Driveshare is the Worx system of lawncare attachments (sold separately) that turn your String Trimmer into a Hedge Trimmer, Brush Cutter, Pole Saw, or an Edger. Save money and space by purchasing the Driveshare system rather than 5 separate tools. You gain the capability of an entire lawncare detailing system when you start using Driveshare. But what truly sets the Nitro 40V String Trimmer apart from your average battery-operated trimmer is its gas-like performance. This isn’t your standard 20V cordless trimmer. We’ve doubled its potential, and when paired with two high-capacity Power Share PRO batteries, you’ll enjoy power comparable to gas-powered trimmers without the expense, fumes, or mess. The cutting line length is 20 ft., and the line diameter is 0.095 in. The specs of this String Trimmer are comparable with commercial-grade outdoor power tools. The Driveshare attachment trimmer system was engineered to provide functionality that’s perfect for property owners with larger, more complex lawns. This model is a bare tool only. The evolution of battery power!
That attachment options are amazing. I sold my gas powered edger as the power from the batteries was better. Having one main tool with options like edging, grass trimming, to brush trimming has reduced the number of separate tools and clutter I had in my garage. I have been a WORX user for 10 plus years and they keep improving on what can be done by battery power. Thank you from this happy, dedicated customer!!

Expect the Best Value from WORX
I found this tool to be an Incredible value. It was easy to work with, tough and well priced. Extremely powerful and useful with the multi attachments. It cut my yard maintenance time to 1/3 of what it was. Cuts any size weeds and brush with 1/2" diameter no problem. Thanks again WORX. I recently built a tiny home using your tools and they are still going strong! Save big $ with interchangeable batteries :)

I’m extremely impressed with this string trimmer! It honeslty performs just like a gas powered trimmer, but without the noise, fumes, or the hassle of purchasing fuel. The battery life is outstanding. I haven’t had to worry about running out of power. The eco mode is a great feature too, allowing me to extend battery life when full power isn’t necessary. What really sets it apart is the Driveshare system. Swapping attachments is quick and effortless, making it incredibly versatile for yard work. Whether trimming, edging, or using other compatible tools, it handles each task smoothly. Overall, this is a powerful, convenient, and well-designed tool. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a high performance cordless trimmer.

Great product, but much too expensive
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The prices have gone up so much on these since the tariffs were announced. Now that the tariffs are gone, the cost is still high. Competitors are much less expensive, which is a bummer, because I love Worx products. The product is great but is more expensive than I would expect it to be. Hopefully pricing comes down soon!

Trimmer Upgrade

Having moved to a smaller house with more property I needed a bigger trimmer and boy is this thing a trimmer. Very very I can't trim and clean up around the yard and in less time than I ever thought possible.

Worx Nitro 40V Power Share Cordless String trimmer is an excellent tool for maintaining my yard and my lawn. I had other Worx products before, and it is a great feature that you can use the same batteries in all of the products. It is very easy to switch from one accesory to another one (for example, from string trimmer to bush cutter). Batteries last for more than one hour each charge (20V 4.0Ah). I strongly recommend this product.

I have used my Nitro 40V Power Share Cordless Attachment-Capable Driveshare 15" String Trimmer, hedge trimmer, and sidewalk edger and have not been disappointed. They are sturdy and do a good job.

Strong 15 inch String Trimmer
Bought this 3 weeks ago and enjoyed how easy it is to put together. Already had the 4.0AMP batteries. Eats through high grass and desert bloom easily, bump line extender works well. I had to get full face guard and shun guard because weeds,rocks fly everywhere. Shaft is too short to avoid getting debris in face arms and legs

Instructions are terrible
The instructions do not explain how to replace string - standard Worx quality. I should know better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an electric Stihl string trimmer, but new home has edging too far away (200') for a power cord. Since I had the batteries, I decided to buy a cordless one. Also needed a brush cutter, so Nitro it is. Compared to the Stihl, the Nitro String Trimmer is heavy. The shoulder strap makes it easy to carry, and once I attached the batteries it is well balanced. Pushed the button, and lots of trimmer power. I would say even more power than the Stihl. Not really necessary for string trimming, but when I get to brush cutting ... This is a serious tool, so no complaint about the weight (and cost). Only needed 1/2 the charge of a 4ah battery to edge my 1/5 acre lot. Note: The handle (with brush guard safety attachment) is designed for carrying on the left side of your body. Nice that I could buy the tool alone without the battery (already had four 4ah batteries).

The Stihl is still a tad bit more powerful and it tends to trim close to ground better, but this Worx counterpart sips battery power unexpectedly slow, which is great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have about 15 Worx tools in total. I have the Nitro Self-Propelled mower. Recently I bought the Nitro Drive-Share string trimmer. It is such an upgrade from the Revolution trimmer I also have. The Nitro is a no nonsense professional grade trimmer with a 15" cutting path. I also bought the edger attachment. I was having trouble trimming around my landscape curbs but now it is a breeze.

And while installing the handle it cracked. Also the instructions had no “words”. And while we are on this site…I’m still waiting for a warranty replacement order since July 5

Destroyer of unwanted grass
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This trimmer is great. It moves through the toughest situations like butter with little line damage. It has great balance for it's weight and length. The dual batteries provides enough power for me to tackle the entire lot area of my home. I also have the edger attachment for this which is great as well! I will say the one "con" is the swapping of attachments, it can be a PIA at times, not sure if its just the one I have or it's across the board for all NITRO trimmer tools.
