So cool and retro. The button light is green! Luckily it is not as big as the old og xbox big bertha controllers. Haha. Totally recommend if you are in the market for a new controller.

    None more (translucent, nostalgic) green

It’s green and translucent, like the original dev kit, and the Halo Special Edition Xbox, but it’s really just the black or white series controller in a, long overdue, translucent, green plastic with an XBOX 25 silkscreen in the lower right. The 20th Anniversary, Starfield and Doom controllers all seemed nicer with their rubberized grips and, in some cases, a month of Game Pass for the “enhanced” pricing. This plastic feels a bit cheap, like the basic black or white controllers. Oddly, these weren’t even on shelves at the time of introduction. I had to ask a department manager if it was in stock and they had to fish it out of the stock room. If this is how Microsoft manages a straightforward anniversary item, I’m not sure what the future holds for the brand… Anyway, it’s nice enough and properly addresses nostalgia notes, but it seems priced about $15 to $20 more than it should be. If they produced enough, I’d expect a sale at some point. I’d probably give it 3.5 stars if I could. I’ll round up. All that said, I’m still awaiting a pre-order from another retailer that I’ll probably keep mostly because it’s nostalgic, translucent green.
