Boiling Plastic Bag??

Terrible idea switching to a plastic bag to boil seasonings in. I loved this product when it was a net, but boiling a plastic bag has to be one of the dumbest ideas ever. I dumped the contents out into the water and I would not recommend that either. Flavor was still good but messy contents covering the food was unappealing.

Was confused about putting the plastic bag in the pot so I cut it open. Flavor was great. Will buy again but next time make sure I use something better to catch all the spices since I opened the bag.

With all we know about microplastics and their toxicity it would really be preferable to go back to the old style bags. The idea of boiling plastic just doesn't sit well with me

Use this own everything. I recently used it on boiled peanuts. Amazing flavor. Boiled a sack of live crawfish and shrimp using a jar of this. Someone mentioned it smells bad. Clearly, they don't know anything about classic Southern, Cajun style cooking.

It says to add 1bag of crab boil. Stop. Do not open bag and pour into pot. Had to drain liquid and strain it. Rinsed off food in liquid I just strained and was able to get most of the seeds out of liquid. What a mess. Please label box to say; "do not open bag or it should say "put 1 unopened bag of crab boil in pot." Totally disappointed in McCormick. Not everyone grows up eating seafood. fixing it my first time. As far as another review goes; You do label your ground red pepper as cayenne on your red pepper spice bottle. Maybe you should included that on the crab boil box. Thank you for great products

Incredible!!! I was just fixing some crab for myself tonight. Have had this Z Crab Boil for a long time. I simmered my pre-cooked crab in mixtue of ZCB; adding dashes of cayenne and 1T of salt as recommended. Just enough water to almost cover my crab. It was the BEST ever!!!

I use this product for almost all my shrimp or crab boils. The flavor perfectly seasons every time. I even use it to cook boiled chicken for spicy dishes for a very short time at the end.
