It gave the shrimp grape flavor and was less messy to peel. But, the number one ingredient is water and the number two ingredient is polysorbate 80 which is a chemical. So I won't be using it again

The strong scent of the concentrate initially threw me off but the end result was a very flavorful meal. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hot, spicy, umami flavor, is a few descriptive words to explain Zatarain's® Concentrated Shrimp & Crab Boil,. It is more complex than just using regular seasonings. I did soak the seafood a bit longer in the fridge before bringing it to a boil. It added more flavor. I also used a bit in mashed potatoes and veggies. Extremely delicious! I will find other applications for this amazing flavoring.

It has heat to it but no taste. If you use it make use you add more then just this.

An absolute must for any shrimp boil. I grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and this was THE seasoning found in EVERY home to use for crawfish; shrimp; and crab boils. I'm cooking some lagniappe (...a little something extra) TONIGHT for my girlfriend. This is a fantastic product! I just don't like the spice bags as well as I do this product. A little really does go a LONG WAY for about 20-24 quart pot of "Gulf Coast Cuisine".
