First time trying the product and has potential to be really good but I just found it to be way too salty. And if I added more water then the sauce will turn into soup. Is there a low sodium option?

I've been making Z gumbo for many years, usually for New Years Eve. I simmer my cooked meats with broth over night and then add the packaged ingredients midmorning. My usual staples are ... cubed chicken, polish or Italian sausage, imitation crabmeat in chunks, whole shrimp ... preferably large or jumbo. It was suggested that I sauté the shrimp prior to adding to the pot. I've not tried that yet. I have cubed the chicken and added it to the already boiling stock. I've never had any issues with that way. Always pre-cook the sausage if raw ... add some broth and your good. I've added mixed seafood and it was a disaster 😩 corn didn't go over so well either (maybe frozen might work better) 🙃 Just try different suggestions on the box or whatever you like 👍🏻 it's Gumbo!!! I started out using a crock pot. But now I just use a large broiler. It warms up well and our son usually takes home any leftovers. One of my favorite compliments is when our bonus son shared the memory of eating gumbo at our home after his mother passed away. This year we are having it after a small Thanksgiving holiday. Who knows, maybe we might add smoked turkey this year. Sometimes family traditions are as simple as making gumbo and chill'n with your favorite people.
