Light settings include simple on/off (1‑way), 3‑way (low/medium/high), and fully dimmable options. Switch types shown include socket/knob rotary switches, base-mounted turn knobs, and inline (cord) rocker switches.
Bases are commonly ceramic, metal, or resin. Shades are typically cotton, linen, or polyester; some models use plastic or ceramic shades.
Most of the lamps list a cord length of about 5 feet.
Assembled heights vary widely: examples range from about 12.5 inches (small table lamps) to 71.5 inches (a torchiere floor lamp). Many table lamps fall in the 17–23 inch range.
