Look for listings that name weather-resistant materials such as PE/poly rattan or explicitly state "outdoor" use. Other indicators include waterproof liners or mention of waterproof PE rattan. Even when labeled for outdoor use, product notes commonly recommend using a waterproof cover or avoiding prolonged exposure to heavy rain to protect the piece.

Assembly varies: some benches arrive fully assembled or are listed as "No Assembly Required," while many outdoor or framed benches require "Adult Assembly Required." Product listings often state whether basic tools are included or required.

Seat heights in listings range from about 10.2 inches up to 23.6 inches. Overall widths span roughly 15 inches up to about 79.9 inches, depending on style and whether the piece is an ottoman, bench, or loveseat.

Capacities vary by size and frame: small ottomans commonly list about 250–300 pounds, while larger metal-framed rattan pieces (like loveseats) may list capacities up to around 800 pounds.
