We have now bought two of these rugs. Our first was for our guest room and this second one is in our playroom. I wouldn’t say it’s best for high traffic, but it’s super soft and wonderful to be barefoot on! In the guest room we didn’t feel a pad was needed, but in the playroom it required a pad to feel plush. These photos are very accurate of the color- slate blue. The actual photos in the listing are totally off but I ordered based on customer photos.Highly recommend!
