Q: Is this frig quiet? If not please describe the noise it makes
A: My colleague and I have this fridge in our office. It's very quiet.
submitted byla profesora - 7 years agoA: Mine is very quiet. It obviously has the running sound of any refrigerator, but it is very subtle.
submitted byCarmen - 7 years agoA: No, it is not quiet. It has a constant low hum and a louder hum when the compressor is running. I worry that it will disturb my guests when they are sleeping. I would not purchase it again.
submitted byDM - 1 year agoA: No. It has a constant low hum and then worse when the compressor is running.
submitted byMicroApartmentLiving - 5 years agoA: How cold does this get? Temperature wise in numbers (F)?
submitted bySophie - 3 months agoA: It is a very subtle humming most of the time, but when the compressor is running you can definitely hear that thing working a bit. Still think it is not that loud.
submitted byMaria - 2 years agoA: Yes, it's extremely quiet, even when the compressor is running.

Q: There is a white plastic drip tray that came with it. No instructions at all how to install it. I called company she said it slips in on back of refrigerator. I see nowhere at bottom opening where it just slips in! Onto what I.don’t know!
A: It sits on top of the compressor to collect water form the drain tube. You can see the drain tube projecting out of the fridge.
submitted byErin - 3 months agoA: Basically, you *slide* the white plastic tray onto the top of the compressor. Notice that there is a projecting white piece on the bottom of the tray and a similar projecting black piece on the top of the compressor. They should click into place, as you slide the white tray onto the top of the compressor. If problems, call the Whirlpool number: 1-855-666-4477.
submitted byMary Anne - 5 years agoA: Me too! I just called 1-855-666-4477 and was told that plastic tray slips on top of the compressor and clicks in place. Guess it's to prevent and collect any water drips. Make sure the black foam faces the compressor.

Q: Can I lay the frig on its side when putting in my car to move it?
A: yes. It was packed well.
submitted bydanny - 8 years agoA: It is not suggested to lay it on it's side.
submitted bylisa2 - 8 years agoA: Yes, but do not plug the fridge in when you get home. Place it upright and leave it overnight before plugging in so the coolant/fluids inside have time to settle.
submitted byHB - 8 years agoA: Yes you can. The owner's manual says you should stand it upright for at least 4 hours before plugging it in.

Q: What is the difference between this fridge and whirlpool Black WH31BKE? Is this fridge 2 doors or only 1 door? If it’s the same fridg, why is black more expensive than stainless steel?
A: In the q/a's of the Whirlpool Black WH31BKE it says shelves are adjustable, but stationary. They do not slide in/out.
submitted byFernanda - 2 years agoA: I just purchased the Whirlpool Black WH31BKE, and the glass shelves are removable. They are not adjustable.
submitted byL Wallis - 1 year agoA: I was wondering the same thing. After reading, I believe the main difference is that the black one has 2 slide-out glass shelves. The stainless steel one does not.

Q: This refrigerator came up when I searched for propane refrigerators. Does this run on propane?
A: No - you will need to plug it into an electrical outlet.
submitted byPennyS - 7 years agoA: It is powered by electricity
submitted byTargetfan - 7 years agoA: Mine just plugs into the wall and is good to go. So I'm guessing that means no to running on propane?
