A: My colleague and I have this fridge in our office. It's very quiet.

A: Mine is very quiet. It obviously has the running sound of any refrigerator, but it is very subtle.

A: Yes, it's extremely quiet, even when the compressor is running.

A: No. It has a constant low hum and then worse when the compressor is running.

A: It is a very subtle humming most of the time, but when the compressor is running you can definitely hear that thing working a bit. Still think it is not that loud.

A: Yes, but do not plug the fridge in when you get home. Place it upright and leave it overnight before plugging in so the coolant/fluids inside have time to settle.

A: Yes you can. The owner's manual says you should stand it upright for at least 4 hours before plugging it in.

A: It is not suggested to lay it on it's side.

A: Basically, you *slide* the white plastic tray onto the top of the compressor. Notice that there is a projecting white piece on the bottom of the tray and a similar projecting black piece on the top of the compressor. They should click into place, as you slide the white tray onto the top of the compressor. If problems, call the Whirlpool number: 1-855-666-4477.

A: Me too! I just called 1-855-666-4477 and was told that plastic tray slips on top of the compressor and clicks in place. Guess it's to prevent and collect any water drips. Make sure the black foam faces the compressor.

A: Mine just plugs into the wall and is good to go. So I'm guessing that means no to running on propane?

A: This unit is almost silent. Just a very minor hum when the compressor is running.

A: Nooo, frost builds up easily on the bottom of the freezer and occasionally on the back wall of the fridge part.

A: The instructions appear lacking, and mine didn't come with appropriate part. Would like to hear from someone that has successfully done this as to what was involved.

A: I respectfully disagree after testing it with three different thermometers. Temp setting of 3 will turn your ice cream into soup and fridge temp hovering around 45+.

A: The coldest setting would be level 7, we recommend setting your unit at level 3. There is only one temperature dial on this unit.
