When it is on sale or I have a coupon, I will purchase it. The packaging does seem to keep the milk fresher longer, as we use milk frequently. This is not an issue in our home. If someone needs milk to last longer, this might be a better option.

It had a longer expiration date compared to the store brand milk I typically buy. I usually drink skim milk while the rest of my family drinks 2%. I thought Mayfield 2% milk tasted smoother and not as thick as the store brand milk.However, my husband and kids didn’t notice anything different. The only thing I didn’t like was that the jug is yellow and I can’t just glance at the jug to see how much milk I have left. I probably wouldn’t buy this since it was twice the price of the store brand milk

I liked that there wasn’t any flaking at the lid of the jug and the premium feel of the beverage. Great for drinking, cooking, and as additions to meals like breakfast cereal.

But in the more recent years there’s definitely a lot more competition on the market when it comes to most any product, whether it be food or not….& for the average consumer price is usually important too, so you not only have to have a good product but you usually need to have a good price too! This gallon of Mayfield milk is a quality made product & tastes great, but the price in comparison to store brand is quite a bit more expensive unfortunately, so the consumer that’s on a budget or watching how they spend their money is probably going to choose the cheaper option that tastes pretty much the same as the Mayfield! That’s why I gave the product 4 stars instead of 5, because unfortunately I really couldn’t tell much, if any difference in the taste vs. other brands of 2% milk I’ve tried. Now as for the packaging, Mayfield still has that classic yellow jug that no one else has though!
