The Mason Cash Red S12 (11.5"") mixing bowl is perfect for bread, cake, cookie, pastry and pudding mixes.

Part of the Mason Cash Colored Mixing Bowls range this bowl adds a modern twist and provides a splash of color to the original mixing bowl design. Made from high quality, chip resistant earthenware, the bowl is heavy enough to counter the tendency to move during manual mixing. The shallow shape of the mixing bowl is perfect for kneading bread and the white interior makes it easy to see the color and consistency of the mixture ensuring a perfect result. Its patterned exterior helps cooks grip the bowl.

Q: In the picture, it looks like it has a chip on the rim of the bowl. Is that supposed to be there?

  • A: Yes. It is a design feature to help assist in gripping the bowl. There are 2 to 3 of those notches around depending on the size bowl.

Q: On another website it says To avoid cracking & chipping, Mason Cash mixing bowls are NOT recommended for use with electric hand mixers or metal utensils. Is this true?

  • A: I'm not an expert but any ceramic or glass mixing bowl is subject to chips or marks from any metal being used in it.

Would not recommend this seller. My original order was delayed and then received the bowl completely shattered. Put in for a return and the order keeps being delayed. Pretty disappointed as the pictures looked beautiful
