I wanted a sheep skin to place on the hardwood floor under my vanity, so I'd have something soft under my bare feet while I sit and do my makeup every morning. This is an almost-no-traffic area, in my bedroom, where I keep the floors clean. This mat doesn't get walked on here, or stood upon, or even stepped on much. I woudn't expect it to hold up in any area with traffic or regular use, but it's perfect in my spot. I will have to keep it clean and fluffy, because I imagine it will be hard to clean, and it will be ruined if it gets tangled or matted. I got the light gray color, and from a few feet away it looks tasteful and realistic. I would never buy one of the brighter colors, but that's just my personal taste. I love that it's round, and comes in such a small size! I would get the same color in the larger size, and place it in front of my dresser, if they had the color/size combo in stock.
