KVD Beauty Paraben Free Aluminum Tattoo Eyeliner - Ulta Beauty

I have used this product for about 15 years and loved it. Loved it so much that I have recommended it to countless people over the years. I just purchased a new one and it is the "new and improved" version but it is awful. The tip is stiffer, the product flow is not even, it pills up and doesn't layer well, overall disappointing. I don't know why KVD Beauty would ever touch such a perfect product but this is a tragedy, please go back to the previous formula and packaging. I am begging.

Why did they have to go and ruin the best eyeliner of all time?! I worked in cosmetics for 10 years and fell in love with this liner. I was apprehensive about them reformulating, and sadly for me, it completely ruined the product. I NEVER had this liner crease up on my lid before, and now the reformulation does. I have tried 3 tubes to make sure it wasn't just a one-off, but sadly it creases after 7-8 hours. That may sound good, but that means after the work day, my eyelids are sticking and the liner transfers before I can go out after work. I have tried dozens of other liners and have yet to find a perfect replacement, as many are not the brush tip I love, or they crease/smudge much faster. The closest I've found in formula is the Rare Beauty one, though the packaging shape is a little different to get used to (designed to be easier to grip though for people with hand dexterity issues). RIP to the greatest liquid liner of all time. 🪦

I think they changed their formula and it is no longer waterproof. I appreciated this eyeliner before because I have hooded eyes and need something that won't smudge - now it does. Will be returning & looking for something else.

I hated this eyeliner. I wear a dark winged eyeliner every day, usually black or brown. I knew Kat Von D was a controversial figure somewhat but didnt know why, and name recognition was a factor in my choosing this liner. I tested it out and it came out very pale and watery. I had to doubly apply it to my very white skin— so it would do NOTHING for someone darker than I am (which is anyone past a fair skin tone). KVD should be ashamed.

so ive been looking for a good waterproof eyeliner and i was hoping this one would work, i put it on let it dry for idk 40 minutes (i got distracted) and then wiped it hard with a wet qtip, it barley rubbed off and i would say this for swiming aslong as its not harsh swimming is PERFECT. a little bit of a steep price but its really worth it.

Honestly, this eyeliner is terrible. Only gave 2 stars because the brush tip is good for precision. This stuff will smudge right off your face if you even look at it wrong. Definitely don’t recommend!

This flakes off within the first 20 minutes of putting it on, so I ended up with little black flecks all over my face whenever I've worn it. Tried it a handful of times and each time it flakes off and looks like the crackle nail polish. Not good

Dries out immediately. I even bought another one to make sure it wasn't defective. How are people giving this good ratings? I dont trust any of these reviews giving this eyeliner 5 stars when they all have nothing in them.

I love that this is a small version, it lasts me a long time and just enough so I will actually finish it. I love the dark brown and the size makes it easy to use. my new forever purchase on eyeliner. Long lasting and no flakes.

I have oily eyelids. But this eyeliner stayed on all day until I took it off with an oil based makeup remover.

Do not purchase. This eyeliner will smudge.

I've used this eyeline for a while and love it. I purchased recently the "new and improved" formula version. It smudges like crazy on the top of my eye and does not stay in place! I'm so sad. Please go back to the old formula that worked!

Glides on and stays all day. Sometimes I smudge it with a brush before it dries for a Smokey look.

I loved the old verison, they said it dried out but that never happened to me. The new one is sticky and rubs all over my eyes by the end of day so now i have to find something new.

Dried out after only 2 weeks of use, probably a total of 10 actual uses. That's even with storing it tip down like I do with every other liquid liner I've used

I LOVED there old formula and packaging. The new packaging is horrible. The actual pen its slef feels super thick and uncomfortable to hold and the tip doesn't create the sharp lines like what it used to. Im so dissatisfied with this liner now. I tried to love but its a NO for me.

I bought two of these when they were on sale. I can only do one eye before its to dry. So I had to open the second one and in the morning I use one liner on each eye and most of the time I can barly finish with two brand new liners.

I've tried a number of other, cheaper eyeliners. Several worked well. But this one is so much easier to use. The lines are thin and crisp and precise. The ink flows smoothly and never too fast. It has upped my eyeliner game already. I will definitely be coming back to this eyeliner for repurchase.
