Munchkin Flow Nipple Shield + With See-Thru Channel to Watch Milk Flow

First time mom here! This tiny little thing is soooo helpful! It’s reassuring knowing that there’s actually fluid moving from you to the baby and at what speed. It’s very easy to set up and clean. I was told by multiple nurses and a lactation consultant that my nipples were small which causes a latching issue for baby (with discomfort for me) but this shield is a game changer! Would highly recommend to all the breastfeeding mamas that want a more comfortable, convenient way to feed.

PROS: I’ve been struggling with breastfeeding, and this was a lifesaver. It’s relaxing to see the milk flow toward my baby, and my other kid loves watching it too. It doesn’t interfere with latching, baby can still latch deeply. CONS: Be careful when removing it, milk can spill on your baby’s face or clothes. It also requires thorough cleaning after each use due to its tiny milk tube that otherwise can clog with dry milk

The only design suggestion I would give is to make the device suck better for larger breast. My son is tongue tied and this has made breast feeding a better experience for him and myself. I highly recommend this product for nursing moms!

The idea is really cool, but it's just not it. The material is very soft but it's weird to clean and definitely did not help with feeding confidence. If anything it made me doubt my ability to nurse even more. The milk doesn't flow effortlessly it's spotty and just kinda bounces around the tube. I'm super disappointed, I bought 2 of these because I'm nursing twins so I wanted to see them both working and it was just a big fat no from me. 1/10 do not recommend

I really wanted to love it. I am a second time mom and used a nipple shield with my first son and now my second son. My first son has a terrible latch, so I know what pain is. But my second son is latching beautifully, no pain, and nursing is going great. So i thought I would give this a try. I think it created too much suction though and immediately tore my nipple apart. So unfortunately, not for me. What I am most concerned about though is how expensive it is, and the retun policy says they only accept unused products. I am still going to see if they will accept the return, but buyers beware.

My son rips it off in two seconds. He hates it and it wasn’t a cheap experiment. I think this is super expensive for a piece of silicone and then you have to buy the syringe to clean it and a second one if you want two. Not worth the costs - my two cents.

I absolutely love this product. My daughter was in the hospital for the first 4 weeks of her life after birth due to a heart defect and was on a ventilator and a feeding tube. As a result, I was unable to get her to latch properly. This product allows me to still breastfeed and I can see exactly how much she is actually eating. It gives me peace of mind.

This nipple shield is very innovative and as a combo feeding mom (breast & bottle) it is reassuring to see the milk flow! However with that being said this is not a 5 star product. First of all it is extremely over priced. If you’re actually using this thing daily, you’ll need a new one after a few weeks and at this price point - no thank you. You’re not just paying for the shield but also a fancy carrying case that doubles as a microwaveable sterilizer as well as cleaning syringe that does NOT clean effectively. It is extremely difficult to remove the clean water from the shield tubing even using the syringe to suck it out as directed. The nipple shield itself is also a lot longer than my lansinoh and medela shields. I also found the plastic to be a little harder. My $6 nipple shield feels more “natural” than this hard long plastic piece. So I don’t hate it. I do use it on occasion, but I grab my other shields first when given the choice. I hate that I spent $40 on this but won’t lie I do enjoy seeing the milk flow when I nurse.

I wouldn’t recommend this nipple shield. It’s hard to use, and washing and drying add to the frustration. It feels impossible to dry after washing. Save your time and money for something that works!

It was reassuring to see the milk flowing. I took off a star because it is tedious to clean and the pink paint on the syringe chipped the second day I had it. I had to scratch it all off so it wouldn’t get in my bowl of clean water I was using to rinse out the shield’s channel

This shield came in at the perfect time! I was having a hard time latching my baby and was unsure if I she was getting any milk until I started using this flow nipple shield. It put my mind at ease and it made breastfeeding so much easier and less painful.

I love this shield. Takes the second guessing out of whether my baby is getting a good amount! I did however have to order a new size because it seems to fit bigger than my Medela in the same size. Definitely suggest double checking sizing for this one specifically rather than going off size for other brands.

It doesn’t stay in place too well but at least I can see the milk go through.

Cleaning was easy. It was nice to see what was the baby was taking. I got the XL since the large was too small. But it was so messy and my baby didn’t take well to how large the nipple part was. If it was small but the inside of the nipple was the right size. I think that would solve the solution on having a horrible experience with the nipple shield. For the price of this product is not worth it. It way too expensive for a product that isn’t that great. I would recommend something else that is cheaper and works way better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nipple shields are great if you plan to ween your baby off the bottle! I did this with my first and was able to breastfeed for a little over a year!! It’s so easy to use and comfortable to wear. I highly recommend this product if you want to commit to giving it a shot at breastfeeding!

My baby hates it… does not latch with the shield on at all … and unfortunately I can’t send it back for a refund.
