Has a strong smell

Received the 9x12 size. It was folded in half a few times and then rolled into a box which had a few tears and holes in the box upon arrival, but rug was ok. First thing I noticed when taking it out was that it had a strong chemical smell. I spread it out, so that I could roll it properly to store until I can lay it down and the smell actually stuck to my hands and left a slight greasy feeling residue. I don't know what it is, like an oily smell, sort of like WD40. I'm going to put it in the garage for a few days and see if it dissipates, but I'm concerned about the residue since we have a cat that will be laying on it and then grooming herself. It's a shame because it's a very soft feeling rug and I love the silver color.

Didn't like it

Not compatible with a vacuum. The cut of the rug was uneven and drove me crazy so i had to return it. It was extremely soft though.
