Last spring/summer, our neighbor had beautiful green grass and we were envious of their lawn. This year, we have the same luscious green grass and you cannot tell where their yard ends and ours begins. The reason for four stars is because we haven't experienced the same results in our backyard as we have in our front lawn. Two things about our backyard are that it has a lot of shade and we have four dogs. Obviously, the backyard is where they play and go to the bathroom. We understand these things can effect lawns, but were slightly disappointed that this fertilizer didn't overcome these obstacles. It seems to be working well and grass is a deeper green. I'll have to test soil later to see how long it keeps working. All in all seems like a good product. We had spots that the dogs had turned yellow from bathroom spots, but this fixed this problem and now I am sitting here looking at the greenest, most fresh looking grass on the street.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live in Michigan and maintain a natural lawn, and since we have a lot of mature trees and leaf cover in the fall, there are always bare patches that need a lot of help growing. This will be our first time using fertilizer, and this particular variety seems like a perfect match since we have a wide variety of grasses and plants, plus the extra nutrients and microorganisms will help boost the soil. We've tried filling the yard in by putting down seed alone, with varied results, but I anticipate that this extra helping hand will help our lawn grow in thicker and more hardy to survive the tough conditions. It's always wise to prepare the target areas for seeding and fertilizer, and for this product it was actually pretty easy to make sure it was working as effectively as possible. With just a little bit of planning, we only had to mow the lawn before a good rainfall to water the soil, then lay down this treatment a day or two later. We used a spreader for some of the larger spots that made it foolproof, but also had no problem applying it to some of the smaller patches by hand using a scoop. All we need now is to keep it watered regularly; I can't wait to see how everything grows over the summer!

I find the aforementioned product very easy to use and the mixture isn't clumpy like some broadcast fertilizer I've used in the past. The lawn became thicker and much softer. You can use a walk behind broadcast spreader, hand spreader, or even a cup. Working it in a bit with a rake will help spread it more evenly. I applied the Pennington Full Season Lawn Fertilizer about 4 weeks ago and my lawn looks greater than in the past 5 years.

Tried many other products so thought, "why not?!". Opened the package and noticed the multicolored bead like material. Directions were clear and applied the product. After a week Ive noticed grass starting to sprout in areas where it would not grow. This is giving me hope for a much prettier yard. Curious to see how the next few months will turn out.

It looks like the fertilizer you put on garden and flowers. We have a mole so there are some spots where grass has suffered. Within about a week, we noticed new grass in some places - but the bigger thing is in areas where it was looking sparse and dull, it had filled in and greened up. I also noticed as the grass seems stronger, we had less dandelions. Another bonus is we didn't have to keep the dogs off long at all. It was safe again as soon as it watered in. We will be doing the back yard soon!

It looks so healthy and strong. We actually had a really bad spot on the front lawn because we had to have some work done where the water meter is. After everything was dug up we have been having issues with the grass in that spot. However, since we used the fertilizer you cannot even tell there was ever an issue. This is agreat product and I have recommended it to many people.
