Beautiful, warm and thick; let down by shedding

I bought this two months ago, and it looks stunning. It feels great too: thick, bouncy, warm. Would give it 5 stars for look and feel. However, please be aware it is not zero maintenance! As a new wool rug, and with the experience of wool carpets, I expected some fibers to shed off initially. I vacuumed daily for two weeks, and continue to vacuum at least once a week, but after two months I'm still half filling my small vacuum stick bag with fluff from it. Moreover, the fibers don't just stick on the rug, they fly all around the apartment, so every surface gets covered in 1-5mm black and white fibers. It is like having a dog.
