He followed the instructions. He says it wasn’t that difficult because the hunter one replaced the older outdoor fan that we had previously. It wasn’t to heavy yet everything feels very solid & sturdy. We love Hunter! In fact our whole home has them. We are familiar with the brand & product so we trust the reliability of this fan.
